This study examines feline pyometra hematological and microbiological features, a serious uterus infection caused in felines. Due to the possibility of sepsis from widespread infections, pyometra, particularly the closed cervix form, poses serious health risks. For this study, six female cats were selected when three with pyometra and three normal were selected. Important hematological markers were assessed in blood samples, and uterine swabs were obtained for bacteriological examination. The results showed that cats with pyometra had elevated total white blood cell (WBC) counts and neutrophilia, which suggested an acute infection. In the afflicted cats, anemia was also found, as evidenced by decreased hemoglobin (Hb) and packed cell volume (PCV) levels. In the isolation of the bacterial microorganism E. coli. An antibiotic susceptibility test revealed that E. coli was sensitive to oxytetracycline, ciprofloxacin, and gentamycin, and it was isolated from every pyometra patient. Resistance was noted to ampicillin and nalidixic acid. For the conformation of E. coli by doing PCR. These findings emphasize the value of targeted antibiotic therapy and early detection, with surgery serving as the main therapeutic strategy.
