Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at the Horticultural Farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka from October, 2017 to March, 2018. There were four combination of micronutrients viz. N 0 (4+2 kg/ha ), N 3 - 0 kg/ha, N 1 - Zn+B (2+1.5 kg/ha), N 2 -Zn+ B (6+2.5 kg/ha) and four levels of manure viz M 0 Cowdung (15 t/ha), M 2 -Poultry manure (10 t/ha), M 3 -(Cowdung 7.5 t/ha+ Poultry manure 5 t/ha). The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design with 3 replications. Application of micronutrients and manure significantly influenced the growth, yield and size of tomato. For micronutrients the highest yield (66.96 t/ha) was found from N 2 and the lowest yield (25.69 t/ha) was obtained from N 0 . Due to application of organic, the highest yield (50.78 t/ha) was obtained from M 3 and lowest yield (39.86 t/ha) was recorded from M 0 . In case of combined effect, the highest yield (76.33 t/ha) was found from N 2 M 3 and lowest yield (24.60 t/ha) was found from N 0 . Economic analysis raveled that N 2 M 3 gave the maximum benefit cost ratio (3.2). So, application of Zn+ B (4+2 kg/ha) along with Cowdung 7.5 t +Poultry manure 5 t/ha was the best for growth and yield of tomato. - Zn+B -0 t/ha, M 1 M 0
