Abstract

KutirShilpo is an innovative e-commerce web platform dedicated to showcasing and promoting traditional Bangladeshi handicrafts. In today’s digital era, many local artisans and small-scale producers struggle to access wider markets despite the cultural and economic value of their products. KutirShilpo addresses this gap by providing a centralized online marketplace where customers can easily explore, purchase, and manage authentic handmade goods.The platform has been developed using standard front-end technologies— HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—to ensure simplicity, flexibility, and cross-platform compatibility. Its design emphasizes responsiveness and user-friendliness, enabling a seamless shopping experience across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Core functionalities include product browsing, category-based filtering, cart management, user registration, and login.This thesis presents a detailed overview of the KutirShilpo project, covering the motivation behind the system, development methodology, design principles, implementation process, and testing procedures. The long-term vision for KutirShilpo includes the integration of advanced features such as secure online payment systems, delivery tracking, user reviews, and seller dashboards. These enhancements aim to evolve the platform into a fully scalable and sustainable e-commerce solution that empowers artisans while preserving the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh.
