Abstract

North South University’s school of humanities and social sciences hosted a seminar on ‘Camouflaging Crisis: A Political Economy Analysis of Non-performing Loan Suppression in Bangladesh’ on Tuesday on its campus in Dhaka. The session accumulated a diverse audience of faculty members, academics, students, and economics enthusiasts. Md Zakir Hossain, deputy managing director and CRO-acting of Mercantile Bank PLC, served as the discussant while Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, NSU vice-chancellor, graced the programme as the chief guest.
