Abstract

The experiment consists of six different type of sawdust as- T : Controlled : Mango sawdust with 30% wheat bran and 1% lime; T 3 2 : Mahogony sawdust with 30% wheat bran and 1% lime; T 4 : Jackfruit sawdust with 30% wheat bran and 1% lime; T : Teak sawdust with 30% wheat bran and 1% lime and T : Rain tree sawdust with 30% wheat bran and 1% lime. 30% wheat bran was taken as basal substrate. The highest economic yield 6 , whereas the lowest economic yield 5 2 . The highest benefit cost ratio 2 , and the lowest benefit cost ratio . The lowest dry matter content , whereas the highest dry matter content 2 5 . The highest protein content , while the lowest protein content 5 2 . The highest lipid content . The highest carbohydrate , whereas the lowest carbohydrate content 2 5 . The highest amount of Nitrogen content , whereas the lowest Nitrogen content 5. 2 The highest P 6 1 5 5 mg/100mg , whereas the lowest P 5 2 . The highest amount of zinc , whereas the lowest zinc content 5 . In this experiment, T 3 : Mango sawdust supplemented with 30% wheat bran 2 and 1% lime performed better in respect of different growth, yield and nutrient composition and mineral content of Pleurotus sajor-caju. Therefore, T : Mango sawdust supplemented with 30% wheat bran and 1% lime can be recommended for farmer level Pleurotus sajor-caju mushroom cultivation. 2
