EFFECT OF BIOFERTILIZER, FARM-YARD MANURE AND VERMICOMPOST ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF LENTIL

Abstract
The experiment was conducted at the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-
1207, Bangladesh, from November 2021 to March 2022 to study the effect of
biofertilizer, farm-yard manure, and vermicompost on the growth and yield of BARI
Mosur-6. The experiment comprised of single factor eight treatments viz. T

= Seed inoculation with Azospirillum + PSB
(Phosphate solubilizing bacteria) + KMB (Potassium mobilizing bacteria), T

Seed inoculation with Rhizobium + Azospirillum + PSB + KMB + Vermicompost +
FYM. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD)
with three (3) replications. The results revealed that treatment T
(RDF + FYM) exhibited
its superiority compared to other organic, inorganic fertilizers, and synthetic biofertilizers
in terms of seed yield of lentil. Treatment T
