Design and Development of a Hospital Management System

Abstract

The owner-to-user aspect of Hospital Management System is the most visible medical use of the World Wide Web. The primary goal of a hospital site is to provide their services online. This project deals with developing a hospital website for booking appointment and others uses. It provides the user with a catalog of different doctor available schedule for booking appointment. The system is implemented using a 3-tier approach, with a backend MySQL database, a middle tier Apache server and a web browser as the front-end client. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where user is provided with is information to admin and to know about the technologies used to develop such an application. In this project we have developed many special features such as doctor available time schedule. So, our project is very user interactive because user can find any doctor fees by clicking new appointment button or their preferable fees range. Admin has many facilities in our project such as admin can analysis appointments of the Hospital Management System by selecting date picker by weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. He has also the option to see which specialist are booked very much. The most important feature of the admin panel is control whole system. The results of this study show that the developed Hospital web site provides considerable benefits for both user, doctor, and owner to do their services. Certainly, Patients can save traveling expense by choosing their choices of appointment and seen others information of our hospital.
