dc.description.abstractThe reason of this study was to identify the learning style preferences of English medium junior school students in Bangladesh. A questionnaire was administered to 500 randomly selected students from the five topmost English medium schools of Bangladesh. These schools were Australian International School (AUSIS), The Aga Khan School, International School Dhaka (ISD), International Turkish Hope School (ITHS) and Scholastica. The questionnaire was taken from an unpublished dissertation and then modified by the researcher for using in this research. This dissertation comprises two published books, a published dissertation and 13 journal articles published in the last thirty years that give information about different learning styles and their detailed description. At first the researcher describes the definition of learning style, and different types of learning style models. Then she gives different views on The Learning Style Inventory and its criticism along with Learning Modalities and also on the importance of identifying students’ learning style in Bangladesh. This research mainly focuses on identifying the learning style preferences of junior school students in Bangladesh.
