The present study was aimed at investigating the Conception rate (CR) of dairy cattle following artificial insemination in the selected area of Rangpur district. In this investigation, breed, age, parity, body condition score (BCS), cow in milk or dry, feeding system were considered as potential risk factors affecting CR of cows. Depending on the relative quantitative contribution of these factors on CR, some suggestions regarding fertility improvement of cows in the AI services were implied. The CR of total of 450 cows fromthree upazilas of Rangpur district were exploited in the experiment by considering the breed, age, parity, BCS, cow in milk or dry and feeding system. The mean conception rate was 72percent following AI. Binary logistic regression analysis indicated that feeding cows with low quality feed (co.ef = 0.77; p<0.01), <2.5 years old (coef = 0.25, p<0.05); parity- 0, that isfirst calve (co.ef = -0.51, p<0.01), low body weight ( <200 kg, coef = 0.005, p<0.01), drycondition ( first calveler and postpartum; coef = 0.89, p<0.01) were the risk factors for low CR after AI. Crosses of SLxFxF cows (coef = -0.46, p>0.05), BCS<2 (coef = -0.33, p>0.05)were associated with the risk for lower CR following AI.
