Possible Treatment Options for HER2 Positive & HER2 Negative Breast Cancer: A Review

Abstract

This review will summarize currently available all possible treatment options for HER2 positive & HER2 negative breast cancer. Significant research have been conducted to find out and understand the biology and molecular features of HER2 positive & HER2 negative breast cancer and possible treatment options including conventional chemotherapy and targeted therapy and result of several clinical trials have also been published. In this research work, I have done computer based screening of these articles and compiled up currently available all treatment options for HER2 positive & HER2 negative breast cancer and pros and cons of these treatments also stated. The purpose of this study is to give an overview on already available treatment options for HER2 positive & HER2 negative breast cancer and anyone can choose their suitable options among these. In terms of result it is found that targeted therapy for HER2 positive breast cancer and combination chemotherapy for HER2 negative breast cancer is more effective.
