This research work has established a simple hydrothermal reaction-based synthesis of hybrid material, ZIF-67-rGO-MnxOy. Using 0.5M Na2SO4, the electrochemical investigation of this hybrid material was made in order to evaluate the supercapacitor performance. Due to the self-oriented conductive rGO layers with expanded interlayer distance and hydrothermally grown ZIF-67, MnxOy into the surface of rGO, it exhibits relatively high surface area and well-defined corn-flakes morphology. ZIF-67 is added into the rGO layer for the conductivity increase and MnxOy is added into rGO layer and for the multivalent state of Mn it influences the redox reaction in between them. With an energy density of 31 Whkg-1 at 1 Ag-1 current density, the synergistic impact of ZIF-67, and MnxOy in between the rGO layers, the hybrid material exhibits dramatically increased specific capacitance of 457 Fg-1. Additionally, the hybrid material based on ZIF-67-rGO-MnxOy demonstrated a satisfactory power density of 350 Wkg-1. The solution resistance (Rs) for ZIF-67-rGO-MnxOy was found 2.3 Ω and after 10000 cycles, the capacity retention was 97% of the initial value.
