Coastal ecosystems have diverse microbial communities that play a crucial role in plant growth and environmental stress tolerance. An investigation carried out functional characterize indigenous bacteria from the random rhizosphere soil of Patenga region of Chittagong. A total of 19 bacterial isolates were obtained and screened for salinity tolerance at different NaCl concentrations (0%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, and 15%), pH-dependent growth response in five pH conditions (4.5, 6, 8, 9, 10.5, and 12). Out of these isolates 10 isolated were Selected based on their growth response in high salt concentration and extreme pH condition and sodium uptake pattern. Among the 10 selected bacteria 4 show starch hydrolysis and 6 show ammonium production activity. Based on the pH and salinity tolerant and biochemical response of bacteria 3 bacteria selected observed molecular characterization using 16s sequencing the isolates identified as Bacillus marisflavi, Exiguobacterium indicum, Aeromonas caviae. Therefore, the research contributes to identifying bacteria that can adapt to, extreme salinity, or pH level.
