Abstract
The Meliaceae is a botanical family confined lo tropical and subtropical areas with a distribution from the rain forest to the mangrove wamps and semi-deserts. Many species of this family are used as drugs and in traditional medicine. The plant chosen for study here, A. rohituka W. & A., a tree species is native to Southeast Asia, East Asia and Australia. The present work deals with the phytochemical investigation of five different materials (leaves, seeds, fruit-pericarp, stem-bark and roots of the plant). --------
