dc.description.abstractE-government has been considered as an agenda for implementation by the government of many countries. The current research has attempted to assess current level of awareness about e-government initiative among government employees in different departments of the Bangladesh government. This research is the result of a survey regarding the perception of a recent e-government initiative of the Bangladesh government named e-citizens service application among government officials. This paper also tries to identify the agency which will be responsible for promoting e-government in Bangladesh. It outlines possible drives who will take e-government implementation into a successful shape and also identifies possible barriers towards e-government implementation.
