Abstract

An experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during the period from May to December 2011 to find the influence of spacing and gibberellic acid on growth and flowering of tuberose . The experiment consisted of two factors. Three levels of spacing viz., 1 : 20 × 10 cm ; ( viz., 0 : 0 ppm 2 : 20 × 15 cm and (iii) 1 : 200 ppm 6 2 3 : 20 × 20 cm and four levels of GA : 250 ppm and respectively . The experiment was conducted in a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The maximum number of spike and maximum number of spike 2 2 3 : 300 ppm GA . In respect of combined effect, S produced the maximum number of spike 2 G 3 . The maximum benefit cost ratio and the minimum 1 G 0 . Considering above findings the 20 cm × 20 cm spacing with 250 ppm GA 3 . was suitable for tuberose cultivation
