The PIFA antenna is one of the most widely used antennas in cell phone It is compact in size consumes low power radiates high power. One of the major advantage of a PIF A antenna is that it can be designed for multiband applications using small dimensional structures. In our project, our primary objective was to design a planar inverted F antenna which is small in size and which will provide tri band coverage for GSM system In our project the PIFA was design to fit on an eye-glass frame design specifically to support mobile application. We also present a complete architectural layout the mobile phone in the eye glass frame. We also analyzed the effect of various parameters of the PIFA performance and tried to characteristics their impact.
