Study on Transmission network of GSM at Grameenphone Ltd.

Abstract

Grameenphone Ltd. is the leading mobile telecom operator of Bangladesh with more than 20 million subscribers. It provides of GSM based service. It is a joint venture enterprise between Telenor and Garman Telecom. Telecommunication industry is becoming more competitive with the entrance of new competitor. As competition is increasing in this industry so to hold the leadership position Grameenphone will have to be very much cautious about its sorts of operations. Being an intern of Grameenphone, I prepared this report focusing on “GSM Structure and coverage area of Grameenphone Telecom Ltd.”The Grameenphone have been given an opportunity to intensify their rivalry as they battle to win customers in Bangladesh that are to be opened for mobile telephony. Grameenphone now have their network coverage in whole Bangladesh.They are now trying to develop the fiber optic communication system which may play an important role in communication technology.
