Abstract
The aim of the study was to present the insights into students and faculty members’
information need and information seeking behavior and could be used to improve the
library services especially in planning library instruction program that would respond to
the needs of students and faculty. For ensuring representative, 8 different faculties of
University of Chittagong were purposefully selected and brought under the investigation at
the first stage.
