A combined DWT and DCT based watermarking
dc.description.abstracttechnique with low frequency watermarking with weighted
dc.description.abstractcorrection is proposed. DWT has excellent spatial localization,
dc.description.abstractfrequency spread and multi-resolution characteristics, which are
dc.description.abstractsimilar to the theoretical models of the human visual system
dc.description.abstract(HVS). DCT based watermarking techniques offer compression
dc.description.abstractwhile DWT based watermarking techniques offer scalability.
These desirable properties are used in this combined
dc.description.abstractwatermarking technique. In the proposed method watermark
dc.description.abstractbits are embedded in the low frequency band of each DCT block
dc.description.abstractof selected DWT sub-band. The weighted correction is also used
dc.description.abstractto improve the imperceptibility. The extracting procedure
dc.description.abstractreverses the embedding operations without the reference of the
dc.description.abstractoriginal image. Compared with the similar approach by DCT
dc.description.abstractbased approach and DWT based approach, the experimental
dc.description.abstractresults show that the proposed algorithm apparently preserves
dc.description.abstractsuperior image quality and robustness under various attacks
dc.description.abstractsuch as JPEG compression, cropping, sharping, contrast
dc.description.abstractadjustments and so on.
