Investigations on Cooling Techniques & Applications of Different Coolants to Optimize the Machinability of Light- Weight Alloy-Aluminium-2011
In this investigation the comparative performance of different cooling techniques and coolants will be analyzed in the process of machining light weight alloy Aluminum-2011. The cooling techniques will be applied: flood cooling, high pressure cooling and MQL system. The coolants we’ll consider to use: soluble oil, bio degradable oil and synthetic oil. The parameters will be considered during the process of competitive analysis: temperature, surface roughness and tool wear. The data will be recorded based of different cutting condition varying cutting speed and depth of cut while turning Aluminum alloy using lathe machine. Then we’ll graphically analyze between those cooling techniques and coolants to find out the optimum combination of coolants and their applying system to bring a relative change in overall machining process.
