Leftover Food Management and Donation Application (a Progressive Web App)

Abstract

In today's society, eliminating food waste through utilizing accessible food supplies within local communities, such as leftover food from weddings, restaurants, and food distribution centers, is an important goal. That may be nearing expiration; and any consumables are not used during the scheduled period. According to research about 25% food from weddings, parties, restaurant and household are being wasted. Many people's problems can be solved if these wasteful foods are distributed properly. In this situation, I am attempting to solve the problem by developing a platform that would connect people to organizations who receives leftover food and distributes to people those who in need. Not only food, but using this platform, people can donate other things like clothes, stationery, funds, and many more criteria easily. This website will encourage people to donate. In this website user can donate leftover food by using real time location, and other criteria and also have a payment method. People can also join our volunteer team. To donate food user needs to visit website organization and place request. To make another donation, they must fill out a form, choose an amount, and then pay. Because of the variety of payment methods available, users can easily make a donation.
