Abstract
Lower urinary tract disease is very common urinary problem of male cat. The report describes the lower urinary tract disease in a male cat with its management. A 10-month-old male cat was admitted to Teaching and Training Pet Hospital and Research Center (TTPHRC), Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) with history of periuria, dysuria,inappetence and distended bladder. After physical examination, a series of diagnostic procedures including urinalysis, imaging, routine blood test, urine cytology and urine culture and revealed that the cat affected with Pseudomasspp infection. The treatment involved catheterization, antibiotic therapy (Ceftriaxone and Amoxicillin), anti-inflammatory drugs, and dietary modifications over two months. This approach successfully resolved the obstruction and alleviated symptoms. This case underscores the importance of prompt diagnosis and a comprehensive management strategy in ensuring positive outcomes for cats with FLUTD.
