Abstract

Epyllion Group began its journey in 1994 as a manufacturer and exporter of knitwear in the Readymade Garments (RMG) sector. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest conglomerates in the industry, with a robust backward linkage that encompasses knit garments, textiles, wet processing, and garment accessories. Epyllion Textile Limited specializes in transforming raw fabrics into finished products, which are then exported to various international markets. The company operates factories in Gazipur, Dhaka, and Narayanganj, with its corporate headquarters located on Gulshan Link Road in Dhaka. Throughout my internship, my main workstation was the factory head office, although I occasionally visited the production to gain insight into the production processes. I had the chance to engage with a wide range of departments, including Commercial, Accounts and Finance, Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Accessories, RMG units, and the Buying Office. My primary duties involved handling orders and overseeing their seamless progression from initiation to final shipment. The objective of this paper is to explore the production process, sustainable business practices, and the product and industry life cycle of Epyllion Group and the broader RMG sector. While I have made every effort to conduct this research thoroughly, certain limitations may still exist. The value of this study lies in its potential to address an existing research gap and to highlight areas where further investigation may be warranted. I kindly request that any unintentional errors be viewed with understanding.
