Abstract

There is an increasing demand for newer Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems to meet the emerging data communication challenges with respect to reliability, performance, and cost. The wired networks have some problems which cannot be overcome; these can be achieved by using WLAN. This paper presents the site survey, link budget, and device installation procedure for establishing a WLAN connection at some remote place including some theoretical and practical ideas about the radio frequency properties, modulation techniques, antennas, and WLAN.
