Gsm basedelectrical device control

Abstract

This paper represent the advancement of GSM-based both home and fieldappliancecontrol for remote system. The main goal of the advancement is to reduce electricity wastage. GSM module is used for receiving short message service (SMS) from user„s mobile phone that automatically enable the controller to take any other operation such as to switch ON and OFF the home appliances such as light, fan, television, air-conditioner, many others type and field appliance out door system. The system is compact with microcontroller and GSM network interface using C language. Essay EDA software was exploited to accomplish the integration. The system is activated when the sender sends the SMS to controller at house. when receiving the SMS command, the microcontroller unit automatically controls the electrical home appliances by switching ON or OFF the device according to the user direction. In other words, the home appliances are controlled by the home server, which operates according to the user commands.
