| dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a moving object detection method | |
| dc.description.abstract | against sudden illumination change using improved background | |
| dc.description.abstract | modeling. Initially, background model is created for every pixel | |
| dc.description.abstract | from the first frame. The sample values for the model of a pixel | |
| dc.description.abstract | are collected from the neighborhood of that pixel. Then the new | |
| dc.description.abstract | pixel values from the new frames are compared to make | |
| dc.description.abstract | background foreground decision. Conventional background | |
| dc.description.abstract | modeling faces problem with change in the illumination of the | |
| dc.description.abstract | scene. The proposed method frequently checks whether abrupt | |
| dc.description.abstract | change of illumination take place or not and then initialize the | |
| dc.description.abstract | background model from the frame that is detected with changed | |
| dc.description.abstract | illumination. The illumination change is detected by obtaining | |
| dc.description.abstract | the images of two frames that are taken at a suitable interval in | |
| dc.description.abstract | HSV color space. Then the mean change value of each channel is | |
| dc.description.abstract | calculated to make a decision. This enables the background | |
| dc.description.abstract | model to start over with new sample values that are obtained in | |
| dc.description.abstract | the current illumination condition and the background | |
| dc.description.abstract | subtraction process can successfully detect moving object with | |
| dc.description.abstract | greater accuracy even in changing illumination condition. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Simulation results indicate that the proposed method gives | |
| dc.description.abstract | excellent results in illumination changing condition to detect | |
| dc.description.abstract | moving object whereas the conventional background modeling | |
| dc.description.abstract | can not detect accurately. Comparison analysis shows that our | |
| dc.description.abstract | proposed method outperforms recent methods in terms of | |
| dc.description.abstract | detection accuracy. | |
