Abstract
This project provides an efficient and scalable approach to a microcontroller-based display system design using an LED array. The aim of this work is to develop an electronic display system that will illuminate the display of the whole "Bangladesh Map" and its six divisions in sequence using an LED array. Besides, another board made of LED arrays will display characters from the English alphabet, in different modes. In both display panels, LEDs are driven and controlled by the microcontroller chip. In this project, an 8-bit PIC16F84A microcontroller is used. To control current flow, resistor arrays are used along with the LED array. It is found that the system works very well for different modes of operation.
