Abstract

Distribution level solar energy generation has gained importance and popularity, because it helps create a sustainable electricity system while reducing the harmful environmental impacts our current power systems have. The simple model has a photo-current source, a single diode junction and a series resistance, and includes temperature dependences. When settings are right, the grid- connected PV system supplies the additional power, moreover consumption by the connected load, to the utility grid. This study proposes an alternative energy source, a laboratory scale grid- connected photovoltaic system.
