Information booklet for undergraduate students

Abstract

It is a great pleasure to publish the first edition of the Information Booklet for Undergraduate Students. Efforts have been made to incorporate most of the information that \ an undergraduate student of the department as well as his/her adviser may need to know for snl00thly carrying out their academic activities. All the courses that are expected to be offered in different terms are shown clearly in tabular form such that the selection of courses in different terms becomes easier. Special care has been made to incorporate the Rules and Regulations for Course System (December J 998), all the amendments that were mad~ (up to the end of May 2000) have been incorporated in the booklet. As with the practice of any Course System, it is .likely that some of the rules and regulations recorded in this booklet may be modified in the future. Students are, therefore, strongly advised to be in touch with their advisers regarding modifications that may be introduced by the university at a later stage. It is hoped that the .information booklet will be of much.use to the undergraduate students as well as .the student advisers of the Department of Water Resources Engineering.
