Abstract

There is a fascinating variety of decorative fish species hiding in Bangladesh's waterways, each with its own color and pattern scheme. This thesis sets out on an intensive expedition to discover the mysteries of these fascinating creatures by fusing scientific research with artistic expression. By utilizing underwater photography and digital images, we are able to fully convey the essence of every ornamental fish, revealing their intricate stories and illuminating their evolutionary wonders. We go beyond the realm of science to examine the cultural significance of these fishes, utilizing mythology and folklore to highlight their deep ties to Bangladeshi society. However, our investigation goes beyond observation. We take on the urgent problems of sustainability and conservation, looking for creative answers that strike a balance between the demands of people and the integrity of the environment. By empowering communities and practicing ecological stewardship, we set the path for a future in which ornamental fishes' vivid colours will continue to brighten our lives and protect the delicate habitats they call home. This thesis presents a complex portrayal of Bangladesh's ornamental fish community, honoring its beauty, diversity, and enduring legacy in the hearts and minds of everyone who enjoy the wonders of the aquatic world by linking creativity and science, tradition and innovation.
