Abstract

Property Management involves the processes, systems and manpower required to manage thelife cycle of all acquired property including acquisition, control, accountability, maintenance,utilization, and disposition. The conventional method of fixed asset management has a lot ofassociated problems such as mismanagement, improper maintenance, lack of communication,inability to track the status of a property and tenant dissatisfaction. Computerized propertymanagement is an accounting process that seeks to register properties for the purposes offinancial accounting, preventive maintenance, and theft deterrence. The system categorizes theproperties into: houses, lands vehicles and miscellaneous and each of this categories also hastypes. The system designed includes to query registered properties using the property numbertags, a module that alerts the system when a property is due for maintenance, and a module thatenable managers to record a property into the system. Also incorporated into the system is areporting module that generates the report of a queried property displaying information such as:property name, location, cost, maintenance date, date of purchase, and maintenance fee. Thesystem designed allow local property managers and maintenance personnel to manage the day today operations of their properties. This system is designed using PHP at frontend and MySqlasthe database solution.
