Abstract
"The process of soil degradation is primarily associated with the excessive application of
chemicals and unregulated practices in crop production, resulting in a notable reduction in the availability of essential macro nutrients within the soil which then leads to decrease in
production of crops. The present research work examines the viability of implementing a full
system for evaluating soil health, enhancing soil quality, and determining appropriate crop
choices based on the current state of soil health. This research work focuses on the conception and implementation of a wireless and portable system for measuring soil quality. The primary objective of this study is to develop a system that not only assesses the soil's condition but also provides recommendations for optimal fertilizer application and suggests the most suitable crops based on the specific soil conditions. This study aims to make a valuable contribution to the field of sustainable agricultural practices and the mitigation of soil degradation challenges. By thoroughly examining and addressing these various aspects, the study aims to provide insights and potential solutions to these significant challenges."
