An experiment was conducted at the Research Field of the Department of Agronomy, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, during the period from July, 2013 to December, 2013 to study the performance of BRRI dhan56 regarding to growth, yield and yield contributing characters under the AEZ-28. The two factors experiment consists with four levels of phosphorus 0 : without phosphorus , P 2 : 40 kg ha –1 and P 3 : 60 kg ha –1 and four levels of sulphur viz. S : without sulphur 1 : 10 kg ha –1 , S 2 : 20 kg ha –1 and S 3 : 30 kg ha –1 0 . The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design –1 – 1 2 –1 –1 –1 , respectively 0 –1 , 7.05 t ha and 34.82%, respectively –1 whereas 20 kg S ha –1 obtained the tallest plant –1 –1 –1 , respectively 2 –1 2 S 2 –1 and 20 kg S ha –1 2 S 2 –1 –1 1 2 –1 : 20 kg ha , 10.82 t ha and 20 kg S ha –1 –1 –1 or 20 kg S ha –1 singly or their interactions would be optimum level for getting the higher production of BRRI dhan56. –1 –1 –1 –1
