A Theoretical Plethora of Modelling Actuarial Risk Aversion Coefficient
(©Daffodil International University, 2021-12-17) Ogungbenle, Gbenga Michael; Zayed, Nurul Mohammad; Hassan, Mohammad Arif; Imran, Mohammad Ali
The goal of the paper is to theoretically evaluate an approximate actuarial aversion risk coefficient in relation to future utility trend and discuss an analytic model for investigating the behaviour of risk aversion random risk together with the infiuence it exerts on utility function. By initiating Newton s process, the result shows that the scheme holder’s risk premium for small actuarially neutral risk , is the product ofhalfofthe aversion and the volatility term. The paper stresses the importance of numerical methods in actuarial risk theory and also brings our attention to risk measurement applications. Furthermore, it describes the procedure of estimating the intensity of aversion co-efficient using numerical algorithm. It relies heavily on the analytic properties of utility function whose gradient function does not vanish. The estimation of aversion coefficient lends credence to risk theory because of its potency to measure riskiness of insurance portfolio guiding both risk manager and scheme holder either or not to assume risk. However, the estimation of aversion involves a model based on the knowledge of differential equation.

An Analysis of Feldstein-Horioka Puzzle regarding Economic Openness of Bangladesh
(Daffodil International University, 2015-12-01) Zayed, Nurul Mohammad
This paper proposes an original framework to determine the influence of economic openness (trade-GDP ratio) on the Feldstein-Horioka result of Bangladesh with a positive saving-investment association. Based on panel Threshold Regression Model, Johansen Long Run Cointegrating Equation is developed for Bangladesh over the period 1972-2015.ECM model is also developed to test the short run dynamics of investment function. CUSUM and CUSUMQ have been used to test the stability of the investment model. The results show that, there is a long run relationship among savings, trade and investment. The results from ECM show that speed of adjustment in investment function is moderate in Bangladesh. The plot of CUSUM indicates the instability of the model. The results do not support the Feldstein-Horioka (1980) hypothesis meaning that the capital account of Bangladesh is not convertible.

(Academy of Strategic Management Journal, 2021) Rakhimova, Saule; Goncharenko, Liudmila; Sybachin, Sergey; Nurgaliyeva, Аinash; Kunanbayeva, Kymbat; Zayed, Nurul Mohammad
A modern phase of the digital economy is now taking shape. The sharing economy is a prime example of an organization's online platform, the sum of individuals interacting for goods and services. The decentralized economy blurs many digital lines, but has nevertheless paid scant attention to current network philosophy. In order to resolve this discrepancy, we suggest that we find two facets of the economy common and analysis linked the principle. The ultimate objective of this research is to illustrate single-material businesses, such as petrochemical companies, as an indication of their deep reliance on complete incoming goods. First of all, we rekindle the concept of a hybrid community, which reflects the border blurred nature of shared economy. Individuals connect online and offline (instead of only web) in a blended culture and absorb as well as create. Secondly, to reduce a network organization’s dependence on its hybrid culture, we examine the variety of policy answers that exist literature propose and show that management analysis needs to adjust, and probably improve existing arguments, for a social economy.

Organic foods are more attractive to consumers than conventional foods due to technological advancements, health and environmental protection, and nutritional value. Purpose of this research is to uncover some hidden facts about consumers' organic food purchasing habits. This study employs a purposive sampling method to collect 110 records from people who buy organic food in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from various online shops, superstores, and department stores. The use of multivariate analysis, such as factor analysis, is used to understand why people purchase organic food. When it comes to purchasing organic food, the first consideration is health and lifestyle, followed by environmental benefits, product characteristics, perceived quality and price, marketing strategy, and customer confidence. The result of the factor analysis reveals that, three factors are accounted for explaining more than 75 percent variation explanation and scree plot, Horn’s parallel analysis, and Kaiser Criterion assures it. As a result, availability and trust are needed, which can be achieved through appropriate certification and advertising. The findings of this study suggest that, health-related concerns and lifestyle, environmental benefit, perceived price, trust, perceived quality, and marketing strategy all influence consumer behavior. These factors are crucial for triggering their movement in organic food selling shop. As a result, the government, as well as people of all ages, should speak out about the nutritional value, health problems, and product qualities of organic food in order to raise awareness of buying organic food.

Employees in the telecom sector are knowledge workers and, thus, managers, HR professionals, and policymakers in the industry need to retain them through knowledge management policies. It is against this premise that this study investigated the effect of knowledge management on employee retention in the telecom sector. Research design employed in this study is a cross-sectional survey with an accessible population of thirty telecom companies in the southeastern region of Nigeria using a simple random sampling technique. The sample size was determined with the Krejcie and Morgan sample size determination table. A questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection. Respondents’ profiles were analysed with frequency distribution while the formulated hypotheses were analysed with linear regression. The study found that knowledge management dimensions have a significant effect on the measures of employee retention. The study concludes that knowledge management measured in terms of knowledge acquisition, knowledge storage, and knowledge sharing predicted employee retention that is measured by supervisor support, coworkers support, and flexible working arrangements. One of the implications of this study is that managers of telecom companies should liaise with their board of directors to make funds available that would be used to train employees to acquire relevant knowledge that is needed in the telecom industry.

Application of Stochastic Differential Equation in Insurance Portfolio Construction Involving Leverage Function and Elasticity of Debt and Equity
(Daffodil International University, 2021-06-30) Ogungbenle, Gbenga Michael; Ihedioha, Silas Abahia; Zayed, Nurul Mohammad
Leverage effect specifies the functional relationship between stock returns and volatility. As stock price declines, volatility tends to rise. Thus, the variability in market prices of a company's stock has pervasive effect when measuring the level of leverage in the capital structure. The determination of portfolio value of an investor using the continuous time second order stochastic differential equation has major consequence on leverage function. Usually, structural stochastic value of leveraged firms treats company's portfolio as equity whose underlying instrument is the company's asset. In this paper, the objectives are to theoretically: (i) measure the value of insurance company's portfolio by second order stochastic differential equation, (ii) apply Ito's rule to obtain a value on its leverage function and, (iii) obtain the analytical correspondence between equity and volatility in a leveraged company through infinitesimal calculus. The stochastic second order differential equation of portfolio value under two arguments results in equilibrium position which provides the traded price of the derivative, furthermore the linear combination of first order derivative of volatilities with respect to equity and debt is vanishingly zero based on the underlying elasticity of stock volatilities. The resultant effect is that elasticity = of debt and equity cancel out and -15E, SOSE, 51

Approaches to Evaluation of the Agriculture Competitiveness Level
(Scopus, 2021) Patyka, Nataliia; Khodakivska, Olga; Pronko, Lyudmila; Kolesnyk, Tetyina; Klymchuk, Oleksandr; Kamenschuk, Bogdan; Zayed, Nurul Mohammad
In the article methodological approaches to assessing the Ukraine’s agriculture competitiveness have been substantiated. In particular, an algorithm and evaluation toolkit have been developed, which includes the calculation of the integrated index of agricultural competitiveness based on the generalization of six partial indices: the level of economic development of the industry, the efficiency of management of the production process, profitability, financial stability and solvency, business activity in the industry, efficiency of sales management and goods promotion on the markets, participation in foreign economic activity. Based on the developed methodology, an estimation of the competitiveness of Ukraine’s agriculture for 2013-2017 was carried out. The obtained results showed that the positive dynamics of the index integrated of agricultural competitiveness first of all was determined by indicators of profitability, production process management, financial stability and solvency. A downward factor was the low rate of Ukrainian agriculture’s participation in foreign economic activity, namely, the growth of imports and insignificant volumes of foreign investment. The versatility of an integrated index of competitiveness allows to make a comparative assessment of the industries competitiveness level within the national economy and to determine to what extent some of them are capable of becoming the locomotive of the Ukrainian economy in international markets. This creates the possibility of developing an effective economic policy to support the most competitive industries based on a rational allocation of public funds, and to form a long-term competitive policy of the state at the sectoral level. The spread of the practice of international comparisons in the future will allow determining what factors provide competitive advantages for agriculture in international markets and which ones need to be strengthened.

(Scopus, 2024-02-07) Bazaluk, Oleg; Rahman, Muhammad Ataur; Zayed, Nurul Mohammad; Alam, Md. Faisal-E-; Nitsenko, Vitalii; Kucher, Lesia
Every person is special in some aspects or areas that are very rare in this world. Specialization in any area which is pretty much comfortable for one person could be very tough for another person. Crowdsourcing makes the bridge between specialized persons and employers where employers hire those persons at competitive prices. The new term “crowdsourcing” originated in the last decade to make outsourcing a focused area. The small job market could be replaced by an open global market by proper utilization of crowdsourcing. In addition, there is a strong connection between crowdworkers and migrant workers studying themes and literature. This study has done thematic analysis using a literature review map to know the current research on crowdworkers as well as high-skilled migrant workers in crowdsourcing platforms that will help to identify strengths and limitations in this area. The results suggest that crowdsourcing can be an effective way to connect migrated workers with employers and to drive innovation and problem-solving in a range of industries. As a result, a critical examination of how crowdsourcing is connected to migrated workers is recommended in the future.

Does Globalization Trigger an Ecological Footprint? A Time Series Analysis of Bangladesh
(Daffodil International University, 2022-11-14) Rahman, Mahfujur; Chowdhury, Shanjida; Zayed, Nurul Mohammad; Hanzhurenko, Iryna; Nitsenko, Vitalii
Climate change has become a pitfall towards economic growth, sustainable development, and ecological balance, which is not different in Bangladesh. This study investigates the relationship between the ecological footprint and the globalisation of Bangladesh in 1980-2021. The auto-regressive distributed lag model (ARDL) bound test confirms the long-run relationship among carbon footprint, ecological footprint, globalisation, and other control variables. Long-run and short elasticity confirm that globalisation, population density, energy consumption, and political and economic globalisation stimulate ecological footprint. On the other hand, economic growth is a culprit of ecological footprint. It reflects alternative signs with an ecological footprint. On carbon footprint, results are similar to ecological footprint except for energy consumption. As ecological footprint increases, people consume more energy in the short run while less energy in the long run. Laws enforced in the last or previous decades regarding environmental issues need more strictness and acceptability to utilise energy through advanced technology and robust inflows from the foreign sector.

Economic Performance Evaluation of the Tourism Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan
(Scopus, 2021) Akhundova, Aytakin; Zayed, Nurul Mohammad
The article discovers the problems of a comprehensive economic assessment of tourism resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The availability of natural resources, artificially created tourist (recreational) resources, objects of historical and cultural heritage form the basis of a tourist product and contribute to the development of tourist activity in a particular region. Tourism resources serve as the foundation and contribute to the socio-economic development of both tourism activities and the region in general. Azerbaijan has great potential for the development of tourism since our republic has vast and incredible natural resources as well as historical and cultural heritage. Nevertheless, unfortunately, for today, there are still no tangible results in Azerbaijan on issues regarding the potential of tourism resources. A harmonized, systematic classification and list of tourist resources were not approved. Their qualitative and quantitative features have not been standardized. Moreover, some of the unique tourism resources available in the areas of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are virtually excluded from the tourism complex of Azerbaijan. In this regard, the methods and conditions for assessing certain types of tourism resources that determine the tourism and recreation potential of the territories of Azerbaijan have been analyzed.
