Item Biological investigations of the methanol extract of Tetrastigma leucostaphylum (Dennst.) Alston ex Mabb. This study aims to investigate several pharmacological values of methanol extract of T. leucostaphylum (METL). In vivo analgesic and anti-inflammatory researches have been implemented by using acetic acid-induced writhing and formalin-induced paw licking test protocols in mice. Furthermore, in vitro thrombolytic and anthelmintic studies have been performed by following the blood clot lysis method and nematode mortality measurement method. In the in vivo study, METL did not minimize the acetic acid-induced writhes prominently but significantly attenuate both the peripheral and inflammatory pain in mice in a dose-dependent manner. In early and late phase, METL 400 (mg/kg, b.w; p.o) showed 39.63 % and 48.73 % paw licking inhibition. Again, METL (100 μL) reflected 56.62 % clot lysis in thrombolytic research. Besides, METL causes the death of nematodes in a dose-dependent manner. The bioassay of the methanol extract of T. leucostaphylum justified the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, thrombolytic and anthelmintic activities of the crude extract and finally suggests the test extract as a wellspring of anti-inflammatory, thrombolytic and anthelmintic agents as a crude drug source.Item Smart measurement of water quality parameters and monitoring fish health(BRAC University, 2021-05) Talukder, Ali Ahmed Rezvee; Iqbal, Syed Wasi; Shakil, Mohammad; Khan, Md. Smart data measurement (smart data is information from which signals and designs have been extracted by using algorithms) is currently a critical feature in a variety of industries, including industrial, medical, aquaculture, and agriculture. Ammonia, pH, temperature, water level, dissolved minerals, and other water quality parameters are critical for aquaculture. We have used various sensors which are utilized to monitor water quality, and the information gathered will allow farmers to monitor fish health and take appropriate action. This smart measurement of parameters will reduce the labor and waste of water in aquaculture and also increase the productivity by a large quantity specially done on Biofloc. We have seen that people in Bangladesh are gradually moving towards Biofloc aquaculture. They have started this system by trial-and-error process which is generally lengthy, time consuming and waste. In our paper we tried to construct a system which will provide them with a proper set of date and allow to keep the water quality parameters at its optimum range. This will ensure more effective and hassle-free aquaculture and increase fish productivity by taking necessary steps if any parameter changes.
