The main purpose of this project is to provide better opportunity for those sufferer patients who face difficulties while communicating with their doctors at the time of their need. The system has been designed in such a manner that will help a patient as well as a doctor of both rural and urban areas. This system also allows doctors to keep their patients under monitoring all the time. We developed this system to help the people of our country who are badly suffering from not having a good healthcare system in an easy and affordable way. Shahriar HussainChemical fires are a major cause of devastating situations and fatalities in Bangladesh, where inadequate knowledge of extinguishing such fires has led to numerous deaths, including those of firefighters. To address this issue, we propose a machine learning and embedded systems approach to design a dynamic and portable prototype that can remotely monitor the fire incident and determine its cause. The prototype uses a dashboard camera to stream video and gas sensors to detect the chemical gas information in the environment to identify and extinguish the fire. The embedded approach clarifies the cause of the fire and suggests the most suitable extinguisher to the user. The device is economical, portable, user-friendly, and marketable in Bangladesh. The system produces satisfactory results with high accuracy in fire detection and maintains its objective of being low-cost and user-friendly. The device can be remotely controlled using a mobile phone and web-based application. The system's machine learning approach uses appropriate datasets and algorithms (YOLOV5), while the embedded approach employs suitable sensors and a microcontroller (ESP32). The system's accuracy has been shown to be perfect.Item Algorithm for solving the maximum leaf spanning tree problem on a bipartite graph with maximum degree three(Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT), 2012-03) Sabbir Ahmed; Abul Kashem Mia, Dr. Md.This thesis presents an algorithm for solving the maximum leaf spanning tree problem on a bipartite graph with maximum degree three. The maximum leaf spanning tree of a graph G is a spanning tree where the number of leaves is maximum among all possible spanning trees of G. The maximum leaf spanning tree problem is to find a maximum leaf spanning tree T of a given graph G. This problem is NP-Complete for regular graphs of degree three as well as for planar graphs of maximum degree four. A variation of this problem restricts to bipartite graphs and asks, for a fixed integer k, whether or not the graph contains a spanning tree with at least k leaves in one of the partite sets. This variation of the problem remains NP-Complete for planar bipartite graphs of maximum degree four. The maximum leaf spanning tree problem has applications in the area of communication networks. But this problem for bipartite graphs of maximum degree three has not been solved yet. In this thesis, an O(n2) time algorithm for solving the maximum leaf spanning tree problem on bipartite graphs of maximum degree three is presented.Item Employee Satisfaction of AKH Group(Daffodil International University, 2019-04-15) Sabbir AhmedThe report is prepared to evaluate the employees’ satisfaction of AKH Group that is entitled “Employee Satisfaction of AKH Group” as a requirement of internship under the BBA program of Daffodil International University. Apart from the academic knowledge gained, preparation of report has given me the opportunity to acquire a practical experience. This report will help to understand the exposure of on the job training in an organization and help to match the theoretical knowledge in a practical situation. The study has been carried out with some objectives such as to explain job satisfaction, to measure the satisfaction, to find out some problems and to make some recommendations for the study. Target population was all the employees of AKH Group from different department who are the part of employees’ job satisfaction in the organization. Sample size of the study is 30 Simple Random Sampling technique was used as a matter of collecting data from the target population for the purpose of conducting the study. Questionnaire and observation method have been used to conduct the study. In questionnaire multiple choice question and open-ended question was used to collect the data. There was a questionnaire with four-Likert scale used to collect the information for this report. Many problems have been identified by the study such as lack of supervision, less benefits and less opportunities, work hour problems, lack of responsible, biasness in the organization. And related to these problems some recommendations are also given in the study. So that they can overcome from those problems. In conclusion, I can say that, every department of AKH Group gives me a pleasure to learn the employee satisfaction properly. From this organization, I have learned practical knowledge about employee satisfaction on the basis of my research I can say that employee attitudes typically reflect the moral of the company. Satisfied employees are extremely important because they represent the company to the public.Item Geothermal Scope in Bangladesh(Daffodil International University, 2020-01-12) Tarekul Islam; Sabbir AhmedWith only 510 kWh per capita of electricity generation, Bangladesh is one of the world's energy-affected countries and only 94 percent of its population has access to that electricity. Bangladesh is still very early in the sense of geothermal water use. To date, there has been no systematic study to assess Bangladesh's geothermal potential. However, authors in a few articles have highlighted the potential of Bangladesh's geothermal energy resources. Exploration of geothermal energy involves early exploration cash incentives, Yet good planning reduces risks and saves money. Many deep abandoned wells were used in Bangladesh, initially drilled for oil and gas exploration, to collect valuable information on the underground geology and temperature of interesting areas. Analysis of the temperature data for these wells shows that the average geothermal gradient along the south-eastern part of Bengal Foredeep varies from 19.8 ° C to 29.5 ° C / km and from 20.8 ° C to 48.7 ° C / km along the stable north-western shelf. An attempt was made to recalculate different temperatures of the geothermometer using the geochemical data from water samples from the basement aquifer of the Madhyapara hard rock mine region and using the knowledge gained from this training program. The predicted temperature ranges from 67 to 153 ° C, which can relate to a potential low-temperature geothermal field in the region of Madhyapara. After geophysical investigations (resistivity (MT), seismic, gravity, etc.) preliminary geological and geochemical surface studies are recommended, Drilling of shallow gradient wells to create a conceptual model of any geothermal system before continuing with the most expensive and hazardous part, i.e. deep well drilling.Item Study of gate leakage current in double gate MOS structures incorporating quantum mechanical effects(Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BUET, 2007-12-09) Sabbir Ahmed; Khosru, Dr. Quazi Deen Mohd.For abstracts please see full textItem Study on the solar energy harvesting potential at urban block level for business districts in Dhaka(Department of Architecture, BUET, 2021-06-01) Sabbir Ahmed; Shabbir Ahmed, Dr. KhandakerOn-site production of electricity from solar energy using increasingly sophisticated technologies such as photovoltaics (PV) has been recognized as crucial for making cities energy-efficient. Urban configurations, which can be defined by urban design parameters that are governed by building regulations in Dhaka, highly influence the solar energy harvesting potential (or solar potential) of urban areas. This research aims to find out how the combined effect of urban parameters regulates the solar potential of urban blocks in the business districts of Dhaka, and explores the possibilities for the development of urban design strategies from such findings. Methods include an extensive theoretical framework, field investigation, parametric simulation study, and statistical analysis. For simulation, an integrated parametric interface combining Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, and Ladybug Tools was used. Field investigation generated insights about energy consumption in the buildings in an existing business district (Motijheel Commercial Area) in Dhaka, which is largely regulated by the combined effect of weather variables, and shows strong individual correlations with temperature variables. Moreover, airconditioning energy was found to dominate energy consumption in buildings. As such, solar energy can contribute to meeting energy demands in commercial office buildings more efficiently during the cooler and drier months of the year. Monthly Mean Temperature, Monthly Maximum Temperature (extreme variable), Monthly Average Sunshine Hours, Monthly Number of Workdays and Eid-ul-fitr Month (categorical variable) were all found statistically significant predictor variables for generating monthly energy consumption figures. Parametric study and analytics revealed that while the density and the compactness ratio of an urban block had negative and positive impacts respectively on its solar potential per unit floor area, the impact is governed by the combined effect of parameters such as the number of stories, ground coverage, street-to-surface distance, side-to-side distance, and orientation. Facades facing unobstructed south were found to increase solar potential more efficiently than facades facing other directions and with poorer setback conditions. Local building regulations should acknowledge compactness ratio and surface orientation as significant strategies for more efficient solar energy harvesting in the business districts in Dhaka. Urban designers, planners, architects, and engineers will be critically informed by this research about the impact of urban design decisions on the solar potential of urban blocks within the climatic and physical context of Dhaka.
