    A Bengali Word Identification and Verification Using Machine Learning Approach

    The research project is mainly based on image classification. We also showed a path to Optical Character Recognition. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is basically a technology which can change over a computerized image of content to editable content i.e. it can change digital image to editable text. An OCR by using image processing and classification for Bangla dialect is proposed here. The primary step of this project is that to recognize and detect ‘text’, the usage of image classification and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is implemented. Characters are separated from the Corpus and then the most decisive and challenging of the project step is implemented which is the verification of the word or corpus. The Bengali word or corpus is then extracted from the digital image and then it is converted to digital font and then the digital font is compared with our accumulated data set to verify whether the word is absolute or not. To enrich the diversity of Bengali language in the field of technology the project plays a very significant role from its own view.

    A Predictive Analysis of Chronic Kidney Disease by Exploring Important Features

    Chronic Kidney Disease is an incurable disease which causes damages to the functions of a kidney gradually. Only proper treatment can prevent the disease from getting worse. Because of proper knowledge about kidney disorders, people had to suffer from this deadly disease. Thus, in this paper, we analyzed certain key features and noticed several interesting relationships with the disease by considering the actual perception of people. We also predict kidney disease by employing various machine learning algorithms including Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, SVM and KNN. By applying PCA, we observe that there is an improvement in the accuracy for predicting the disease. SVM outperforms other algorithms with 98% accuracy in predicting chronic kidney disease. In future, we will try to find some significant hypothesis that helps us to prevent the disease better.

    Assailing poverty and patriarchy, how does small money fare?

    This report is based on the findings of the case tracking study of 35 BRAC borrowers from Madab RDP over a period of one year Tracking began in July, 1996, and in all cases more than three months had elapsed before tracking began. The issues examined in this study are: background of the borrowers, use of loan, participation of the women in the use of loan, economic return on investment, borrowing from other sources, mobility of the borrowers or the decision making by the borrowers in their households related to the loan from BRAC. Findings revealed varied importance of credit for the BRAC borrowers. BRAC loans were a substantial support for the poor in terms of emergency funds and capital for multifarious investment. Despite access to loans from BRAC, they still borrowed from the moneylenders under compelling situations. It further found that the dominance of patriarchy was difficult to break because of its deep root in the society. Though observance of purdah varied, it was never absent and as such restricted the movement of women to a great extent. Patriarchal division of labour ensured that women remain confined mostly within household. The study concluded that these deep-rooted cultural factors were responsible for the perpetuation of women's subordination and micro-credit could not change it significantly.

    Automatic Car Wash System with PLC

    In the late sixties of the ultimate century, the American company general electric developed the programmable logic controllers (PLC) as an alternative to the complicated relay manage system. With the growing velocity of life, the demand to function duties at a greater pace is being laid out too. In the current world, technology has linked each town, city and united states of America with the different through skill of transportation. This has in the end led to a big amplify in the wide variety of vehicles. To easy these cars there is a want of a proper washing system. The most frequent problem regularly encountered while cleansing these motors is time consumption. Time is a commodity that desires to be managed effectively and correctly in order maximize productivity. Therefore, this mission is developed to minimize the time to clean vehicles. In this automatic car-washing project, we use a conveyor belt on which customer cease the car. When we press a change conveyor belt, begin moving. Sensors are placed on conveyor belt at exceptional places for vehicle detection. When the first sensor senses the car, it stops the conveyor belt and begins a valve simultaneously through water on auto in a similar fashion at specific degrees when a car is detected it will use brushes, soap, and dryer to clean the car. . This is accomplished through imposing a small mannequin of Automatic Car Wash as an application. Fast and Easy PLC Control the object of a PLC simulator is to 'fake out' the enter into a PLC so that the programmer can check and debug the software before set up into its operating environment. Here a number of techniques work in a sequential fashion, in this stage PLCs are used to maintain this sequence. We use PLC for reliable and smooth control journey and use servo driver for extra clean velocity manipulate of servomotor with conveyor.

    Capacity development through training: the case of BRAC village organizations

    Capacity development through skill training is an important component of BRAC' s credit programme. This study looked at the impact of capacity development of BRAC beneficiaries on their performance as village organization (VO) members as well as use of the skill gained. Qualitative data were collected from 3 VOs of south Uddamdi village of Matlab thana where BRAC started working since early 1992. During analysis comparison was made between members who received training and members who did not receive any training. Results indicate that 27-39% of the VO members chosen for BRAC training were largely selected by VO management committee in consultation with PA and PO. Sometimes a member received training up to 5 times on different topics but did not use more than two. There are large number of non-target group (NTG) members present in these VOs (on average 27%) who influence the selection process. About 83% of the trainees were above the age of 40 years. Also, VO management committee members and small group leaders appeared to be more likely to be selected for training. Statistically significant effect of skill training on savings/credit performance was noted. Group members who received various inputs for capacity development such as training; .credit and employment opportunities were better-off socially and economically than those who did not get this opportunity. While looking for regularity of attendance, it was seen that members who received training were more regular in weekly meetings than those who did not receive any training. Problems in using training knowledge were lack of opportunities and support from fellow group members as well as staff Operational problems associated with training include ,inducing false hope and inadequate supplies of training materials. . Members perception about training was initially not favorable but later when the benefits started showing, their interest increased. The study shows that members perceive the VO as a mechanism through which they may receive services and inputs from BRAC and they exert pressure on BRAC staff to provide ~hem with these inputs. This sometimes stress the relationship between the members and staff. However, VO members and BRAC staff pursue for increased interdependency to, protect the interest of VOs. ·

As a result, internet use has become an integral part of the lives of all educated people around the world. It connects a person sitting in a remote corner of their house or business to the rest of the globe via the information highway affectionately known as the web, cyber, and so on. It connects everyone to their office, banks, energy department, water works, transport services, markets, book stores, and friends from other countries, and it is ready to attack unsuspecting internet users with cyber attacks. In Bangladesh, cyber and technology-related crimes are on the rise. In Bangladesh, this is a critical issue. In the realm of information technology, it has already been observed that a bright threat has emerged. Recent e-mail threats to various individuals are an illustration of a handful of them. Cybercrime, on the other hand, is becoming a threat to the government itself. The broad and general goal of this study is to determine and define the nature of cybercrime, as well as the impact it has on those who utilize the Internet.

    Design Simulation an analysis of Slotted Micro strip Patch Antenna

    The study of Slotted microstrip patch antennas has made great progress in recent years. Compared with conventional antennas, slotted microstrip patch antennas have more advantages and better prospects. They are lighter in weight, low volume, low cost, low profile, smaller in dimension and ease of fabrication and conformity. Moreover, the slotted microstrip patch antennas can provide dual polarization (circular and linear polarizations), dual-band operation, frequency agility, broad band-width, feedline flexibility, beam scanning omnidirectional patterning. In this thesis we investigated the performance of an inset-feed slotted microstrip patch antenna. It is found that the percentage bandwidth of the designed antenna is 10.52%and a return loss of -12 dB. The volume of the antenna is 9208.6 mm3. These results are comparable even better compared with those found in literature.

    Determinants of Garment Owners’ Perception in Selection of Banks: Evidence from Bangladesh

    Purpose: This study aims to provide bank management in the banking industry with a useful insight into the bank selection determinants of a profitable major segment of garment owners. It is motivated by the need to address the limitations of the studies in this field. Methodology: Exploratory factor analysis has been employed to examine a sample of 176 garment owners as respondents in the capital of Dhaka and its outskirts of the citychosen from selected commercial banks using a convenience sampling method. The respondents are reached by employing prior appointments withthe designed questionnaire at the various bank’s premises, garment owner’s offices, and their homes. Respondent's feedback is analyzed and presented through the Factor analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis, and ANOVA One-way Test. Findings: The research finding showed that “Promises and guarantees made by the bank” “Price offering (incl. terms and conditions)”, and “Range of services and their features” are very important three factors for the garment owners in Bangladesh. Limitations: The study focuses only on some commercial banks ignoring all other types of banks operating in Bangladesh. Practical Implications: The study has made recommendations to understand the banking behavior in identifying the appropriate marketing strategies needed to attract new customers and retain the existing profitable major segment of garment owners. Originality: The findings of the study clearly showed and explained the concern of how garment owners, a profitable major segment for banks, choose their banks other than the customer as a whole.

    Effects of Enzyme Concentration in Bio-polishing on Cotton Knit Fabric

    In this work, exhaust method was followed on undyed and dyed single jersey cotton knit fabric by Lava Cell, NBG enzyme with a varied enzyme concentration keeping all other parameters constant and thereafter different properties like handle, weight loss, absorbency and pilling of treated samples were assessed. Additionally the fastness properties for dyed fabric were evaluated before and after enzyme treatment. The enzyme used in this work was acid stable cellulase enzyme that also worked at neutral condition effectively and compatible with some other enzymes and dyeing processes. The tested samples were treated with various enzyme concentrations like 0.5%, 1%, 1.5 %, 2% and 3%, at 600 c temperature for 30 minutes with M:L l:20 at neutral bath condition with a medium mechanical agitation and thereafter enzyme deactivation was carried out at an elevated temperature. The hand feel of tested sample was optimum with 2% enzyme concentration and weight loss tendency was increased with the increase of concentration %, and considerable weight loss was noticed up to 1.5% conc. range and it was severe with 3% concentration both for undyed and dyed samples. Enzyme treatment after dyeing lowered the pilling resistance properties of dyed materials but escalated color fastness properties. However, the tested samples treated with 1% and 1.5% concentration showed acceptable values in all cases especially from a minimum fiber damage perspective.

    Impact of Capital Structure on Profitability of Cement Industry in Bangladesh

    Purpose: This paper seeks to unearth the impact of capital structure on the profitability of listed cement companies at the Dhaka stock exchange in Bangladesh. Methodology: Data have been collected from secondary sources for the 10 years from 2009-10 to 2018-19 to accomplish the objectives. Data gathered tabulated, categorized, arranged, and concluded the necessary calculation for the production of panel data to fulfill the purpose. The capital structure ratios, profitability, and multiple linear regressions have been used to analyze data with the help of IBM SPSS-21. Capital structure ratios are short-term debt to total assets (STDTA), long-term debt to total assets (LTDTA), total debt to total assets (TDTA), long-term equity debt (LTDEQ), and total equity debt (TDEQ) and are considered to be the independent variables. The return on total assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) are selected as the profitability and used as a dependent variable Findings: Results forced to conclude that short-term debt to total assets, long-term debt to total assets have a neagtive effect on the return on total assets. This implies that the company would reduce profits by accumulating more borrowed money. On the other hand, short-term debt to total assets, long-term debt to total assets have a positive influence and long-term equity debt have a negative impact on return on equity. Limitations: The study is conducted based on secondary data. So the validity and reliability cannot be judged. There are 32 cement companies of Bangladesh of which only seven are listed so the availability of data scope of the study was narrow. Practical Implications: This implies that the firm raises more borrowed capital will reduce profit. So the authorities should use debt judiciously. Originality: Research indicates that profitable companies are less dependent on debt as their key funding choice. In the case of Bangladesh, a high proportion of the debt is covered by short-term debt.

    New approach for selecting aggregated multicast trees to reduce forwarding states

    Multicast is an efficient method for sending data to multiple destinations in a single transmis- sion. Conventional multicast routing often suffers from scalability issues. Here, the number of forwarding states maintained in the Network layer generally increases with the number of concurrently active multicast groups. Consequently, large-size routing tables get generated, which in turn causes degradation in router performance. There exist only a limited number of studies on aggregated multicast to address this issue. The existing studies such as AM (Aggregated Multicast), STA (Scalable Tree Aggregation for Multicast), and STS (Shared-Tree Selection for Aggregated Multicast) attempt to perform tree aggregation, however, still retain high number of forwarding states in the routers. Besides, they mostly ignore the effect of tree aggregation ratio in terms of network performance metrics (for example delay and throughput). Hence, the research on aggregated multicast is still at an elementary stage. To this extent, in this study, we propose a novel aggregated multicast approach to reduce Network layer forwarding states. Our approach proposes new methods for selecting aggregated multicast trees, refining search range, and replacing stale trees in process of the aggregation. We show the effect of our proposed tree aggregation in terms of network performance metrics (delay and throughput). We also show that performance of our approach is better than previous approaches by comparing different performance metrics such as the number of trees, the number of forwarding states, delay, and throughput. Ns-3 simulation results confirm that our approach can reduce up to 92% forwarding states and 34% delay compared to conventional multicast, and reduce up to 88% forwarding states and 29% delay compared to the STS method.

    Parametric Analysis of Thermal performance of Earth-To-Air-Tunnel-Heat Exchanger (EATHE)

    The Earth-to-Air-Tunnel-Heat Exchanger (EATHE) is one of several ambient air conditioning systems with minimum cost. Several factors and conditions will enhance the performance of the installed EATHE in room air conditioning system. In this numerical study, the influence of ground soil considering its properties, such as soil thermal conductivity, room air conditions such as air velocity, and construction of the system such as pipe thickness and length on the EATHE is investigated. Later, different arrays of fins are introduced to enhance the system's performance further. Finally, the model has been validated by comparing the outlet temperature of the system with the experimental results conducted by other researchers. The current study analyzes the thermal performance based on three miscellaneous soil samples, each with thermal conductivity of 0.65 Wm-1K-1, 1.25 Wm-1K-1, and 3.5 Wm-1K-1, respectively. The effect of the thermal conductivity of soil due to geographic locations on the thermal performance of the EATHE system is significant. The thermal efficiency of the EATHE has been determined by the reduction in air temperature caused by transient heat transfer between the air and soil around the pipe. The effect of the soil layer is negligible after a critical thickness. The critical thickness is considered to be ten times the pipe diameter. The maximum temperature reduction is 18.9 K for 3.5 Wm-1K-1 thermal conductivity at a specific air velocity of 3 ms-1. A new model for a 10 m long pipe with various fin/fins arrangements has been created. The effects of fins were analyzed by placing a single fin of 10 mm at 0.5 m from the inlet and getting an outlet temperature of 306.7 K. The drop in temperature evolves with four fins at 0.5 m, 1 m, 1.5 m, and 2 m, and the found minimum temperature is 306.1 K, which is 19.4% more improved than a straight pipe. If fins are spaced 1m apart, the temperature drop increases by 5.6%. The arrangement with four fins at 2 m spacing gives an outlet temperature of 305.3 K, which is 7% better than a single fin. A new arrangement of fins has been used to observe their effect on the heat dissipation rate. In this arrangement, fins of 10 mm in thickness and different heights have been used in diverging-converging patterns to restrict the flow of air and thus supply cooled air at the outlet. The investigation with two blocks improves outlet temperature by 5.88% over the analysis with one block. The value progresses to 10.53% for three blocks and 14.52% for four blocks relative to the temperature drop of one block. Overall, this study will provide a comprehensive understanding of the design parameters and associated conditions, leading to enhanced performance of the EATHE.

I\t Energypac we have gathered practical knowledge about Power transformer, Distribution transformer, Instrument transformer (both CT and PT), Isolator, Breaker and Switchgear Items (LT, IT and PFI). We saw the whole process of Manufacturing of the above terms. Also testing )procedure of the Equipment's. Before doing this internship we have limited bookish knowledge about :ransformer and Switchgear. But now we have little bit strong knowledge about this Equipments 􀂜comparing to before. In transformer section we saw the whole process step by step. We learnt how to west a transformer. We learnt a Special test which is Lighting Impulse. We learn what the difference )between transformer and instrument transformer is and uses CT and PT. why CT and PT are used at Nigh voltage range. Also saw the manufacturing steps of instrument transponder and Switchgear teams. At switchgear part LT panel and ill panel, what types of breaker are used for LT and ill )panel Also why power factor is important and how we can improve power factor by using PFI label. Why we used Circuit Breaker, how many types of Breaker, especially Vacuum Circuit breaker (VCB). The uses of Isolator and manufacturing steps of it. Also we saw the paint and fabrication process of these items.
