Crime Rate Analysis Using Machine Learning Technique

A method for methodically detecting crime, analyzing crime patterns, and anticipating crime trends is crime analysis. The information gleaned from machine learning is of great use to police officers and can be applied to a large number of crime datasets. This issue could be resolved by utilizing a Random Forest in security analysis and law enforcement. Since the Random Forest algorithm has been cited as the most effective machine learning algorithm for predicting crime data, this work investigated the construction of a prototype model for crime prediction using the Random Forest algorithm. In addition to displaying criminal offense areas within a region, our algorithm is able to identify and forecast locations with a high likelihood of occurrence. The experimental results show that the Random Forest was able to correctly identify the unknown category in the crime data by 0.82, which is good enough to trust the system for predicting future crimes. This method's results can be used to raise awareness of risky areas and assist law enforcement in predicting future crimes in a particular area within a given time frame. Due to the expanding use of computerized and informational systems, data analysts of crime may be able to assist police departments in speeding up the process of solving crimes in our society. The machine learning system is simple to set up and works with the spatial plot of crime and criminal activities to improve the performance of our police and other government agencies. The Bangladesh police can reduce crime and solve cases as quickly as possible by implementing this developed system.
Supply chain of Nestlé Bangladesh

Nestlé is one of the leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company that strives to best serve its customers with best quality products consistently. Thus, its story of excellence is not confined to the selling of products solely rather it also concentrates in ensuring continuous brilliance for its every group of stakeholders. Being a part of Nestlé S.A, Nestlé Bangladesh also shares the similar vision of continuous excellence and growing together concept. It focuses not only to nourish its employees, distributors, retailers and other stakeholders but also to nurture its respective vendors’ businesses also. Accordingly, it designs its internal structure in a more organized and systemized manner so that the internal stakeholders can contribute with considerable efficiency. The internal organizational culture creates an open platform where every member are allowed to exhibit their extraordinary views and opinions that ultimately help Nestlé Bangladesh to be competitive at all of its operational phases. Thus the description of the internal department, mainly Supply Chain, gives a well-defined picture through this report that explains the process and also showcases the inner relation and operational procedure. A survey was conducted on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) with the view of observing the vision vendors have regarding this. The ultimate objective of the survey is to get an idea regarding KPI from different dimension. Thus, two groups were studied where one group already participates in KPI measurement process while with the other KPI will be initiated soon. Accordingly, two different sets of questionnaires were prepared as the scenario is reverse for both teams. Accordingly a total of 12 samples were chosen which is equally distributed among two groups. The outcomes the respondents share are really crucial and needs to be considered when decisions regarding KPI are called. The responses of each question from both the questionnaires were interpreted and are included in this report through graphical representations. Since few open ended questions were also included in the survey form to gain general insight of the vendors, its analysis was also discussed briefly and precisely to get a deeper insight. Thus, the objective of the report basically demonstrates NBL and its specific Supply Chain department along with the key roles, duties and responsibilities of an intern of that particular department. Lastly a survey is accompanied with primary data to give a practical insight of a certain portion of the Supply Chain department.
The overview of Avery Dennison Bangladesh

This internship report summarizes the overall and detailed internship outcome for a specified time period. It mainly highlights three different chapters which are basically the three different dimensions of the internship program. The first chapter explains the overview of the internship which includes the basic information about the company, the department where the intern has been employed, the supervisor’s information and the job scope. The job scope gives a detailed elaboration about the job’s roles and responsibilities. Apart from this, another vital section of this chapter is the internship outcome. In this section, both the student’s contribution made to the company and the benefit the student has received from the company has been critically explained. In addition, the problems, and difficulties along with recommendation from the intern’s perspective had also been pointed out specifically. The second chapter is the organizational overview. This is a brief inclusion of almost all the organization aspects of the company. Starting from its evolution, this chapter gives a thorough and detailed overview of the management and marketing practices; financial and accounting measures; the operation and information system practices; the industry and competitive analysis. However, it ends up with a summary and recommendation about these core practices that the company undertakes. The third and final chapter is mainly the project part where a thorough and detailed analysis has been made to understand the relationship between the profitability ratios (ROA & ROE) and the operating cost efficiency ratios (OCE). The data collected was from the company’s financial report. The actual data of the company has been analyzed further to understand the relationship of the ratios. It has been found that, there is a positive relationship between ROA and ROE. That is, when one rises another one increases as well. On the contrary, ROA & ROE is negatively correlated with OCE. That is increase of the ROA & ROE reduces OCE and vice versa.
