Item Classification of Book Review Sentiment in Bangla Language Using NLP and Machine Learning(Daffodil International University, 2021-06-01) Rahman, Md. Hamidur; Islam, Md. SaifulBooks are said to be a person's best friend. Learning books is essential to acquire expertise. Community for book reading has been around for over a few thousand years. Since ancient civilization learns to write, knowledge is said to be the ancestors of books in tablets or walls or stones. The most up-to-date type of books is e-books, digital print or print on paper. In Bangladesh, even a few years ago, the people had to go to the library in person to gather books. Many of the advantages are simple and the internet bookshop has a penalty, i.e. the reader does not know the books or the book store itself. Book readers prefer to rely on feedback and ratings in order to prevent this. Our aim is to evaluate Bangladesh language reviews and to provide correct input on the books and online shop so that book readers can purchase correct books in order to read and get better online bookshops. About 1500 raw data have been obtained for training the system. In order to distinguish negative and constructive review results of previous users, we use Natural Language (NLP) processing. The data analyzers include a random forest, logistical regression, decision tree, random forest and some common algorithms like Subject Vector Machine (SVM)Item CNN and Transfer Learning Modeling for Jujube Spices Recognition(IEEE, 2023-11-23) Sakib, Md. Mamun; Hasan, Md. Mehedi; Bibi, Rabeya; Rahman, Md. Hamidur; Sattar, AbdusJujube make up a major portion of Bangladesh's total fruit production. It might be challenging to tell the differences between the many different species of jujube. The manual examination of jujube' physical qualities, which is time-consuming and prone to human mistakes, is the method of identification most commonly used in traditional methods. In this investigation, we make use of computer vision methods to zero in on particular jujube types that are native to the Bangladeshi region. In our approach, the question is solved with the assistance of a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) and Transfer Learning. Our method obtains an outstanding 98.0% accuracy on a test dataset after being trained on photographs of jujube taken in and around Bangladesh. Our work contributes to the growing body of research on applying computer vision and deep learning techniques to agricultural problems. Further research can be conducted to improve the accuracy of our system by collecting a larger dataset of jujube images, exploring the generalizability of our system to other regions and countries, and investigating the potential for using our system to recognize other fruit crops in Bangladesh or other countries.Item Numerical Study of Emission Control of Urban and Rural Kitchens for Healthy Environment(Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering(MPE), Islamic University of Technology(IUT), Board Bazar, Gazipur-1704, Bangladesh, 2016-03-28) Rahman, Md. HamidurLack of proper ventilation of exhaust fumes from gas and biomass fired stoves in both urban and rural residential kitchens are a major health concern for majority populations. It could even cause destruction of property, reduced quality of life and lifespan. In this research, a typical urban kitchen with a standard dimension of 2.13m × 2.43m × 3.05m was modeled with single open door exit. Two heat sources were used to resemble the double burner gas stove of an urban residential kitchen. On the other hand, a single burner traditional soil stove was used for the model of a rural kitchen with dimension of 3.50 m × 2.20 m × 1.85 m. In both cases, steady state simulations were performed using a three dimensional CFD code with appropriate boundary conditions. The present numerical method for urban kitchen was validated by comparing with the experimental data and showed very reasonable agreement. A grid independence test was also performed to determine the optimum grid resolution reflecting the accuracy of the numerical solution. For urban kitchen, the results are presented for temperature field and velocity field, and CO2 concentration and discussed under both natural forced ventilation systems. For the gas stoves located in the kitchen corner, the flow tends to shift towards the corner side wall and exhibits high temperature zone all above the burners. A comparative analysis between the ventilation (natural and forced) and no ventilation conditions are reported. Very high concentration (above 5000 PPM) of carbon dioxide gas was observed at the plane passing the breathing zone. Exposure to this environment for longer time may cause serious health damage of the occupants. A kitchen hood system has been simulated for both thermal comfort and carbon dioxide gas emission for the kitchen. It has been observed that the carbon dioxide gas concentration significantly reduced within the breathing zone due to use of kitchen hood system. In the breathing zone, the CO2 concentration is only about 500 PPM which is 10 times lower than the close vent case. Two other positions of the kitchen hood suction have been studied for the effect of thermal distribution and emission rate. It has been observed that both front and base extraction method 19 reduces the emissions significantly to well below the safe limit. They also can maintain thermal comfort quite well inside the kitchen space. For the rural kitchen study, varying intensity of emissions of CO, CO2 and Particulate Matter (PM) from different kinds of Bio-fuels burning have been investigated. Dispersions of these pollutants in the kitchen space have been investigated for without ventilation and natural ventilation without hood and with hood systems. It has been observed that at unventilated condition, CO, CO2 and PM concentration exceeds safe standard value. Even the natural ventilation condition fails to keep the concentration below the safe limit. However, a significant improvement can be observed for the kitchen with hood under natural ventilation.Item Pro-colonial Impetus versus L1 Interference in Translating the West(Daffodil International University, 2020-07-30) Rahman, Md. HamidurTranslation involves the interpretation of inner meanings incorporated by the writer. A good translation gives more emphasis on its secondary meaning. If the translation is efficacious in imparting intended meaning, it justifies the translator to be a competent one. For good translation, a translator needs to study both source text, and the culture, norms and values of the source language. Unfortunately, nowadays, translation is more commercial than its social and moral responsibility. A book which wins an international prize, or a regional one recognized by the west, becomes a lucrative target for the commerce. Generally, the publishing houses hire translators. Hence, the translated works lose transparency leaving fidelity on the pages. Since translation is not professionally developed still today, most translations have the direct influence of the native language. Because of syntagmatic and emotional differences between two languages, appropriate meanings are not always ensured in the target language. Individual shift takes place inevitably and the translator willingly or unwillingly inserts his own understanding. This study will show how a translation work faces dual pressures: the selection of the text where pro-colonial thought lurks in the minds of the nonEnglish countries, and the localization of, or L1 interference on, its translation.
