NazmulThis project focuses on the rising demand for electricity in Bangladesh and what can be done to meet the rising demands by sharing Solar power with the national grid, thus reducing dependence on the grid. In the context of Bangladesh, where the booming demand for electricity, its spiraling costs, along with the rising levels of greenhouse gas emissions have contributed to the search for alternative energy sources and alternative systems of generating electrical power and sharing power to the grid, thus reducing the dependence on the grid and dependence on fossil fuels. So, renewable energy sources like solar, hydro, biomass, wind etc. can be used to generate electricity of which solar power is the most abundant and has huge potential. However, the typical solar systems that we have do not share any power with the grid and does not play any role in reducing our dependence on the grid. So, there is a lot of scope for work to be done in this sector. One of the main reasons for this is not using an automatically controlling system to have better efficiency. Another major issue with the typical solar system is that a lot of solar energy gets wasted when the battery gets full and loads are getting power from the grid and when the grid is available, there is no use of solar though lots of solar energy is being produced. So, we need a system which will be able to control the total power system of a family utilizing the both power supplying sources solar and grid with a better way so that minimum grid power would be used and maximum solar power would be used from the same system. Even though a lot of work has been done on grid-tie inverters, there are still the issues related to synchronization of the output fluctuating DC voltage from the solar panels used in grid-tie inverters, especially into the research articles that we have looked into before. So, in order to address these issues, the use of a microcontroller-based solar power-sharing system is a very suitable solution. Hence, our proposed Hybrid Power Sharing System of Grid and Solar Photovoltaic Using Microcontroller can possibly fulfill all these parameters and help solve all these issues.Item Improving sewing quality in ready-made garment industry of Bangladesh a case study(Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, 2019-03-24) Rahman, Habibur; Parveen, Dr. SultanaAt the present age, product quality is not only the customer requirement, it is also a competitive advantage for a business organization. Every business organization desperately trying to produce its products with best quality with low production cost. In the recent years, sewing quality in garments industries gets most priority from both producer and customer ends. Defects reduction is the first step to improve sewing quality and to reduce production costs in garments industries of Bangladesh. Higher quality can be achieved by reducing alterations in sewing processes in garments industries. To gain competitive advantages companies are giving more emphasis on assuring the best quality in sewing processes besides productivity and production cost. Identifying different sewing-defects and addressing them properly is the way of getting better quality, higher productivity and lower production cost in garments industries. This case study represents the application of the well-known and frequently used tool of Six Sigma, named DMAIC methodology in identifying and reducing or eliminating the major defects with their root causes in sewing processes in garments industries. The five phase of DMAIC methodology named Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control; this approach minimizes defects analytically. Pareto Chart Analysis Diagram was applied to prioritize top defects based on their nature and frequency. Brainstorming and literature review also helped to get some potential solutions to address this problem. In remedial action, a pilot run was conducted in some selected sewing lines the selected factory and significant result was found in terms of quality improvement in the scale of Defects per Hundred Units (DHU) and efficiency level also.Item Krishi Sohayota(Daffodil International University, 22-11-08) Rahman, HabiburIn the era of Digital Bangladesh, we are not providing enough our agriculture as much it needed though we are mostly depended on farmer for our regular need and also in aspect of exporting crops. As a result, our farmers a failing to fight with developed country in aspect of growing enough crops using modern technology as they are not literate enough. So, I decided to do something with my technology knowledge where farmers can easily contact the officials of government for any sort of problem related to disease, soil, water etc. I have designed a minimalistic user interface for contacting the authorities and submitting problems and they will be helped via this application if the solution can be provided remotely.Item Marma Composite Ltd.: Garments Production Procedure(BRAC University, 2021-05) Rahman, Habibur; Saaqib, Mr. Nazmus; Uddin, SalahThis report is prepared on the basis of my 3 months practical experience on garments production procedure of Marma Composite Limited. Shariful; Rahman, Mohammad MotiurThe cloud computing offers high scalability, confidentiality and the easy accessibility of the information over the Internet. Though the conventional encryption system provides security, the most concerned issue is the regular side channel attack for capturing ones sensitive and confidential image, audio and video. A malicious Virtual Machine (VM) besides a targeted VM can extract all information. Thus, this paper implements a double stage encryption algorithm for multimedia content security using random key generation approach. The first stage encrypted multimedia content into ciphertext-1 using a symmetric public key. The ciphertext-1 is again encrypted in the cloud using a randomly generated asymmetric private key. If anyone gets the cipher text, he could not extract the encryption key to recover the multimedia contents. Low complexity and easy implementation make the proposed algorithm widely applicable safeguard in the cloud computing. Shahed; Mahfuzul Hasan, MD.; Rahman, HabiburA substation is a part of an electrical generation, transmission, and distribution system. Substations transform voltage from high to low, or the reverse, or perform any of several other important functions. Between the generating station and consumer, electric power may flow through several substations at different voltage levels. A substation may include transformers to change voltage levels between high transmission voltages and lower distribution voltages, or at the interconnection of two different transmission voltages. Substations may be owned and operated by an electrical utility, or may be owned by a large industrial or commercial customer. Generally substations are unattended, relying on SCADA for remote supervision and control. The word substation comes from the days before the distribution system became a grid. As central generation stations became larger, smaller generating plants were converted to distribution stations, receiving their energy supply from a larger plant instead of using their own generators. The first substations were connected to only one power station, where the generators were housed, and were subsidiaries of that power station.Item Performance study of photovoltaic modules considering natural dust impact on high altitude(BRAC University, 2021-01) Rahman, Habibur; Haque, Md Johair; Showrov, Zahidul Haque; Enam, Khondoker Farhana; Rahman, Md. MosaddequrIn this present era, solar modules have become a popular energy conducting element. Thus, Dhaka city is not behind in this sector as it can be seen in every building’s rooftop containing PV modules. However, Dhaka city is so polluted and therefore it can be seen that PV modules become dusty quickly. It is a major concern in the Middle east and there is energy loss for this reason. The purpose of this study is to compare the output between two PV modules, where one is a dusty module and another is a clean module. Moreover, in this study how dust particles affect the module at different altitudes is another concern. Here the dust particles on the modules store heat from the sun and this affects the output, also affects the short circuit current when dust particles make shadows in the module. Two modules were checked properly in indoor conditions before conducting the outdoor experiment to know the condition of those and to get the PV graph. After that outdoor experiment was conducted on a regular basis to get the continuous data and finally the comparison graph shows the results and effects, how dust affects the module’s power output. Empirical method was used to calculate the solar irradiance and finally, solar incident energy was calculated from that.Item Rapidly changing conditions in the brothels of Bangladesh: impact on HIV/STD(2002) Jenkins, Carol; Rahman, HabiburItem Report on industrial attachment(Daffodil International University, 2014) Roy, Arpon; Rahman, HabiburThe industrial training gives us the opportunity to work in mills. It is an experience of normal academic learning. This training gives us actual picture about man, machine, material, methods and market. We have earned the direct knowledge about the raw materials, actual running condition of the machines, Workers technologist and administration. This mill is a well-planned with enough expansion facilities. There exist a wonderful employer and worker relationship. Working environment for the labors is also good. During our training we visited administration section, store, boiler section, generator room, compressor section etc. Everywhere we got cordial behavior from all employees. Above all, this training for 45 days in the Evince Textiles Ltd. has given us a new experience for practical life. Bangladesh University of Textiles has given me the field to perform the industrial attachment with Evince Textiles Ltd. Woven fabric is produced by interlacement of warp and weft yarns. Construction of fabric is very important for woven fabric because amount of weft yarn and warp yarn depends on EPI and PPI of the fabric. The density of fabric depends on EPI and PPI. Count of yarn also important for woven fabric. Selvedge is the waste of total fabric production but it is very important to maintain the width of the fabric. It is also very to maintain construction of the fabric during weaving. For this study we collected the samples from weaving industry.Item Weather Impact on Road Accident in Bangladesh(Daffodil International University, 22-09-01) Hasnat, Abul; Ahammed, Fawsal; Rahman, Mizanur; Rahman, HabiburThe leading cause of death worldwide is road traffic accidents (RTA). Even though just 54% of the world's registered vehicles come from low- and middle-income nations, 90% of road traffic deaths (RTD) occur in these nations. Road traffic accidents are currently thought to be the ninth most common cause of death worldwide across all age groups, but that number is expected to rise to seventh by 2030. The economies of low- and middle-income nations are developing. The effects of this rising economy include rapid urbanization and motorization. However, infrastructural development policy upgrades are not happening quickly enough to keep up with these more rapid changes in the economy and population. According to research, RTAs cause economic losses in low- and middle-income nations that might amount to 5% of GDP (World Health Organization, 2015). The official statistics show that more than 60 people die in traffic accidents in Bangladesh for every 10,000 motor vehicles (Alford, 2009). The true mortality rate is probably substantially greater. The according to quium, there are still issues with the accident reporting system and the data it produces and official numbers are prone to underreporting (Alford, 2009). While the number of fatalities grew by around 400% during the same time period the number of accidents increased by 43% between 1982 and 2000 (Girard, 2011) Road accidents are a global tragedy, and Bangladesh like many other nations, experiences significant annual losses as a result of these accidents (Donaldson & Lucey, 2018). The number of road users, urbanization, and motorization are all growing, and with the passing time, there are more road accidents and fatalities. To comprehend or asses the situation appropriately accurate and logical accident rates and corresponding trends are needed (Unesco. Research Centre on the Social Implications of Industrialization in Southern Asia et al., 1956). In Bangladesh, there were 62 motor vehicle fatalities per 10,000 registered vehicles in 1985 but there were only 45 in 2007 (Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, 1973). This drop in mortality was even more dramatic when considering road motor vehicles rather than registered motor vehicles, from 98 in 1985 to 56 in 2007, which should be more representative of the real situation (Figure 1: The Road Traffic Accident Death Toll with Motor Vehicles and Non-Motor Vehicles in China from 2007 to 2016, n.d.). The country’s population doubled from 1971 to 2007, with accidents and fatalities increasing from 1.14 to 3.87 and 0.41 to 2.98 per 100,000 people, respectively, in some temporary fluctuations (Table 1.3. Road Fatalities per 100 000 Inhabitants, per Billion Vehicle-Km and per 10 000 Registered Motor Vehicles, n.d.)In terms of vehicle kilometers, accident and fatalities rates have decreased by 49.08% and 42.77% respectively per 100 million vehicle kilometers from 1999 to 2004 (Thorpe, n.d.)Item Web Based Project Hospital Tracking & Ambulance Booking(Daffodil International University, 2021-06-02) Bhowmik, Joy; Rabbi, Fazlay; Rahman, HabiburThe web-based project is a simple website that is about Hospital Tracking & Ambulance Booking system. The project mainly works if anyone needs emergency service that if he wanted to go to a hospital or find the nearest medical service in his location. Technology updates day by day and we are at a top level of use of it such as everything are dependent on modern technology. This web site is a hospital location tracking system that helps people to find the nearest hospital in his/her location when emergency occurs. This website can help many people when they need emergency help to locate or find any hospital for their patient. We started to develop this project from October 2019.But during the covid19 situation we all are staying home and our project work are postponed almost one year. When we starting to develop this project, it needs a lot of hard work, patients, dedication to meet the requirements of our project. After complete our first task, we make our design, then implementations. And then start our work on it. In this project we make a website that simply helps the people who want this kind of information like hospital management, nearest hospitals information, ambulance services. The project ‘Hospital Management System in medical science with Ambulance Booking’ is based on web based, object oriented programming and networking techniques to apply. We use html, CSS ,Java Script and PHP. There are many areas where we track the records in our database for which we are using my SQL software which is one of the best and the easiest software to keep our data safe and use. In this project, we use java as the front-end software which is an Object Oriented Programming language and has connected to my SQL server. This will help people further we think and our work is done nicely we are very much happy.
