I hope this document satisfies the report's criteriaItem Detection of Deepfake using computer vision and deep learning(BRAC University, 2023-05) Rahman, Anisur; Uschash, Ehteshamul Islam; Rahman, Faria; Adiba, Shihaba Jamal Chowdhury; Labib, Tahmidul; Karim, Dewan ZiaulIn this era of Metaverse and technological advancement, Deepfakes are one of the most alarming concepts. Deepfakes are mostly synthetically-generated manipulated photos or videos which is created swapping a face of a person using Deep learning, Generated Adversarial Network (GAN), autoencoder-decoder pairing structure. There are several other Deepfaking tools such as; FaceSwap, DeepFaceLab, DFaker, DeepFake-tensorflow etc. Using Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), Deepfakes have become smoother and more realistic in making the fake videos. DeepFakes can become concerning if it is used for political purpose, committing fraud, spreading misinformation, pornography, defamation on social media etc. This possesses a security threat on people’s lives knowingly or unknowingly. As a result, it is visible that DeepFakes can be very distressing on the wrong hand if not detected properly. Our purpose is to detect the DeepFake videos as successfully as possible. We want to focus on detection using Deep learning approaches also using Image recognition and computer vision. For this detection, we used a dataset of videos, which included both real and fake videos. We have successfully extracted it from Kaggle where we have found dataset of more than 2352 videos from DeepFake Detection Challenge(DFDC) and FaceForensics++. To detect the fake videos, we followed the method of employing temporal feature and exploring visual artifacts within frames. Employing temporal feature uses LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) and CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) whereas visual artifacts within frames mostly employs deep learning method to detect DeepFakes. We ensembled LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) and CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) to detect DeepFakes successfully. ResNeXt101_32x8d have been used to extract features and a custom CNN model is added with LSTM for better accuracy for detecting DeepFake. The accuracy of the model was 94.05%. After further improvement and with the introduction of learning rate schedulers, we were able to achieve better accuracy. We have used CosineAnnealingLR, CyclicLR, MultiStepLR and ReduceLRonPlateau among which MultiStepLR gave the highest accuracy of 95.33%.Item Evaluation of Shear Wave Velocity for Different Locations in Dhaka City & Seismic Site Response Analysis using DEEPSOIL(Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering(CEE), Islamic University of Technology(IUT), Board Bazar, Gazipur-1704, Bangladesh, 2024-07-09) Rahman, Faria; Chowdhury, Md. Abdul Mubin; Chowdhury, Md. SakibDhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is one of the world's most seismically vulnerable cities due to its proximity to the convergent boundary of the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates. This vulnerability is exacerbated by factors such as uncontrolled urban expansion, non-engineered construction practices, high population density, and a weak emergency response system. The city is situated on an elevated Pleistocene terrace surrounded by Holocene floodplains, with the terrace comprising Pleistocene clayey soils and the floodplains consisting of alluvial sandy and clayey deposits. To conduct site-specific seismic hazard analysis, it is crucial to estimate the amplification factors of seismic waves, which requires determining the average shear wave velocity of the near-surface soils up to a depth of 30 meters. In Dhaka, Vs30 has been estimated using techniques such as multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW), microtremor array measurement (MAM) survey, and empirical correlations between shear wave velocity and standard penetration test blow count. Another important concept in earthquake studies is liquefaction, which refers to the loss of strength and stiffness in saturated, loose sandy soils during ground shaking, leading to severe structural damage. The correlation between shear wave velocity and SPT-N has been analyzed using field test data. Nonlinear site response analysis has been performed with DEEPSOIL software to evaluate potential seismic hazards at the ground. The Peak Ground Acceleration has been obtained to assess the likelihood of liquefaction based on the ground condition. Using borehole data, the research area has been divided into three different groups to account for local site impacts and calculate seismicity characteristics using the Bangladesh National Building Code. Ground motions on specific site classes recorded in other regions with similar magnitude earthquakes were included in this analysis. A hyperbolic model was used to fit the shear modulus and damping curves to represent ground motions under high-strain conditions. At first in this report, I have written the origin, methodology, objective and limitation and internship related information in chapter 1.Then in chapter 2, I described the organizational history and its mission and vision. Additionally, I showed the different types of loan and loan products of BASIC bank and their lending procedure in chapter 3. However, I described the main topic of report in chapter 4, what types of challenges BASIC bank employees face in bank lending, how they overcome these problems and what types of training they give to solve this problem. Furthermore, how their target is set and what are the rules and regulation. I also showed the barriers in bank lending. Thereafter, I showed the in organization structure about their management, resource and capabilities, organizational goal and corporate organogram, corporate strategy and divisions in chapter 5. In addition, in chapter 6, I showed the financial situation of bank during 2016 to 2019, social activities as well as services. Finally, showed the SWOT analysis of BASIC Bank as well as I recommended some points as intern to the bank. At last, I concluded the report with a conclusion.
