    Automated Attendance System Based on Facial Recognition

    “AUTOMATED ATTENDANCE SYSTEM BASED ON FACIAL RECOGNITION”, is a Machine Learning project. This project basically without human assistance system that helps take attendance by recognizing trained students' real-time frontal face image. It’s very easy to use and its GUI is very simple and user-friendly anyone can simply use it. We used to build this project with the main library that is OpenCV and Tkinter. This system recognition works very well. This can be used is any educational institution and corporate offices. This system is not time consuming, it’s a relive for who takes the attendance. We tried our level best to make this easy to use and effective.

    Evaluation of three immunological tests for the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis in a rural endemic area of Bangladesh

    Objective: Bangladesh is a high tuberculosis burden country. It is always challenging to diagnose active pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) cases in rural areas where the setting up of conventional microscopic and cultural diagnostic tools is difficult. The objective of the present study is to find a feasible, reliable and easily accessible alternative diagnostic approach for PTB in the rural areas of Bangladesh. Methods: A total of 86 sputum samples were collected from clinically suspected PTB patients of Anantapur village, an underdeveloped remote area of Netrokona district, Bangladesh. Sputum samples were screened by Ziehl-Neelsen (Z-N) and fluorescence staining methods and were categorized as smear-positive active PTB cases (n= 50) and smear-negative controls (n= 36); then the performance of three popular immunological tests were evaluated, including ICT, ELISA and Mantoux tests (MT). Results: The sensitivity of ICT, ELISA, and MT (10. mm induration size) was 68%, 84% and 96%, respectively, and the specificity of these tests was 94.4%, 80.6% and 52.8%, respectively. When the cut-off size of induration in MT was changed from 10 to ≥15. mm, the sensitivity and specificity of MT became 92% and 83.3%, respectively. It was also found that the interpretation of MT was not significantly affected by BCG vaccination when ≥15. mm induration was taken as a cut-off value. Conclusion: Considering the resource-constraints of rural and remote areas, the Mantoux test could be an alternative tool for the diagnosis of active PTB.

    Exploring the opportunities of a balloon-satellite in Bangladesh for weather data collection and vegetative analysis

    For a third world country like Bangladesh, satellite and space research is not feasible due to lack of funding. Therefore, in order to imitate the principles of such a satellite Balloon Satellite can easily and inexpensively be setup. Balloon satellites are miniature satellites, which are cheap and easy to construct. This paper discusses a BalloonSat developed using a Raspberry Pi, IMU module, UV sensor, GPS module, Camera and XBee Module. An interactive GUI was designed to display all the data collected after processing. To understand nitrogen concentration of a plant, a leaf color chart is used. This paper attempts to digitalize this process, which is applied on photos taken by the BallonSat.

    Gross Morphometric Characteristics of Reproductive Organs of Indigenous Non-gravid Cow Originating from Backyard Farms in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh

    A study was carried out on the morphometry of reproductive genitalia of twenty indigenous cows available from backyard farms in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh using standard procedure, with special reference to indigenous cows. Reproductive tracts were collected immediately after slaughter and measurement of the reproductive organs were done immediately after transportation. The average parameter of reproductive organs, length and width were recorded as 2.47±0.08 and 1.85±0.1 cm for right ovary and 2.25±0.09 and 1.62±0.1cm for left ovary; length of right and left uterine horns were 21.38 ± 0.68 and 21.70 ± 0.69 cm; length and width of body of uterus were 3.19±0.06 and 2.49±0.05cm; length and width of cervix were recorded as 5.28±0.1 and 4.61±0.1 cm; length and width of vagina were 19.44±0.4 and 4.73 ± 0.1cm, respectively in indigenous cows. It was observed that right ovary is higher in length and width to that of the left ovary in indigenous cows. This confirms the fact of right ovary being more active than the left one. Moreover, left uterine horn is larger in length to that of the right uterine horn.The genitalia of heifer are smaller compared adult cow. This study provides a baseline for the study of genitalia of indigenous cow breed at Brahmanbaria district in Bangladesh

    Investigation of gold nanorod monomer biosensors for label free molecule detection

    Plasmon resonances have attracted a lot of recent research interest for their potential applications, including bio-sensing, sub-wavelength optics, negative refractive index metamaterials and their ability to produce massively enhanced electromagnetic fields. Localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPR) in metallic nanostructure can offer large electromagnetic enhancements and nanometer-scale localization of electric fields. Their resonance wavelength and properties can be tuned by variation of the nanostructure geometry and are sensitive to environmental refractive index. This thesis contains in depth investigation of gold nanorod monomer biosensors for label free molecule detection. Some core plasmonic properties of gold and its importance in LSPR sensing are analyzed. In addition, LSPR shifts are closely observed by varying different physical parameters of the biosensor structure. Furthermore, we closely observed the LSPR response by changing the physical environment of the biosensor structure by tuning corresponding refractive indices. Finally, we explored the responsible factors for the sensitivity of bio-proteins and compared our results with theory.

    Management practices, Growth performance and Production of Sonali chicken in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh

    The current study was carried out to evaluate information on the productivity of sonali chicken, their rearing practices and opportunities in intensive farming. This study was performed to identify and described the performance of sonali chicken farm of Bijoynagar upazilla under Brahmanbaria district. A sonali chicken farm was selected for the study where the number of birds were 1000(female:600 ,male:400). The chickens were reared for 64 days (9 weeks) and then marketed. Average feed intake during 9 weeks 61gm per bird.After 9 weeks The average body weights of female and male birds were 805gm. The FCR, performance efficiency factor, feed price ratio, performance efficiency index, livability and cost benefit ratio were 3.07, 262.2, 2.22, 249.1, 95% and 1.42 respectively. The study found that raising Sonali birds particularly for meat production, where they performed better than other birds in terms of adaptability and benefit-cost ratio. The live weight of sonali chickens was lower than that of commercial broilers but Sonali meat raised almost twice the price of commercial broiler meat. So, raising sonali birds has good potential in supplying meat for the whole country, increasing incomes and generating employment.

    Modeling and testing of a nano-satellite and implementation of a BalloonSat with data analysis

    Satellites are very expensive for developing countries like Bangladesh to facilitate, for which these countries can approach Nano-satellite or balloon satellite which are cheaper compared to a satellite. A Nano-satellite should be designed in such a manner that it can withstand the harsh environments of space and meet all the criteria of carrier vehicle companies. On the other hand, a balloon satellite is much cheaper, easier to construct and is an excellent illustration of a Nano-satellite although it could not perform all the possible functions of it. This paper demonstrates a remodeled version of a Nano-satellite model proposed by an earlier group from BRAC University and also the structural feasibility of that remodeled structure by performing a vibration analysis on it. Additionally, it also implements a balloon satellite circuit for monitoring crop health and deforestation activities by sending images over which are later processed on the ground station. The circuit also sends latitude, longitude, temperature, pressure, light intensity, pitch, roll, heading, UV index, infrared, CPU temperature data using sensors and modules, the balloon satellite is tracked using the latitude and longitude readings. The data transmission occurs wirelessly and is maintained by a Raspberry Pi B+ which runs by itself on boot. These data are received on a ground platform where they are displayed in a GUI in a proper manner and are being saved as well.

    SCMA: A Lightweight Tool to Analyze Swift Projects

    In global software engineering, practitioners use code metrics analyzers to measure code quality to detect code smells or any technical debt early at the development phase. Different tools exist to evaluate these metrics to ensure the maintainability and reliability of any codebase. This paper presents a tool SCMA (Swift Code Metrics Analyzer) which analyzes swift code considering ten code metrics for analyzing software architecture to ensure code quality. We have used the native swift parser to implement this tool. This tool suggests refactoring the codebase by giving a final score averaging the score of all ten metrics. We have validated the accuracy of each metric measured by this tool by analyzing the codebase manually. This tool can help the developers to inspect the swift modules of iOS projects and give an insight into the improvement area of each project.

    Secure medical record sharing using blockchain and elliptic curve cryptography

    Medical records contain sensitive data of a person. In our country, different organiza- tions manage medical records in different ways. Since there is no standard procedure for maintaining medical records, the overall treatment procedure is delayed. In this paper, we are going to introduce a uni ed medical record blockchain system for maintaining patient records using Ethereum so that the amount of their hassle can be minimized and their treatment procedure can run smoothly. This system will not only be beneffcial for our country, but also for other countries that have not adopted a standard for sharing medical records. The principal aim of our proposed system is to ensure authorized access of patient records as well as sharing them securely and cost effectively when needed. In our proposed model, software design patterns are also introduced which will help us achieve scalability, authorization of patient records, and security of data.

Tourist and travelers will be easily get the precise information they need. This project is developed by recent giant technology like Python, jQuery, and as we work on python so we use some library function to do our work more dynamic Matlab, MongoDb, Pandas, Numpy are using function. Beautiful soup helps to include data from cloud, pandas and numpy use to data processing Matlab use further filtering Ajax, use to process html in this project. With this apps, we hope the tourist and travelers will be much benefitted and find what they want very easily. Our website also provide a short note writing option which known by To Do List.. As our web site is public so we use few database which is work on SQLite for the login and to do list option.     Variation of Reinforcement at First Floor of Six and Ten Storied Buildings

    We designed a six and a ten storied buildings in a same area (15m X 7.5m) and also in a same seismic zone. We have followed the ACI code, UBC-1994 and BNBC-2006 to build up the structures. We have endeavored our best and put an end of our project. We have used ETABS Software for design purposes. The design process of structural planning and design requires not only imagination and conceptual thinking but also sound knowledge of science of structural engineering besides the knowledge of practical aspects, such as recent design codes, bye laws, backed up by ample experience, intuition and judgment. The purpose of standards is to ensure and enhance the safety, keeping careful balance between economy and safety. Generally, a building structure is the combination of column, beam and slab. The detailing of these are done by Auto CAD. We found out the steel quantity of them and clarify the difference of required steel for two buildings. We have find out the quantity of steel which is required in a floor and also costing of steel for both buildings. In terms of column at first floor 336kg more reinforcement is needed for ten storied. For beam this value is 820kg and for slab it is 1656kg. We have gotten 77.10% more reinforcement required at first floor for ten storied buildings and it should be usual practice. In amount there are 212,400 BDT more need in terms of ten storied building at first floor.
