Item An Intelligent Thyroid Diagnosis System Utilising Multiple Ensemble and Explainable Algorithms with Medical Supported Attributes(Elsevier, 2023-01-15) Sutradhar, Ananda; Al Rafi, Mustahsin; Ghosh, Pronab; Shamrat, F. M.Javed Mehedi; Moniruzzaman, Md.; Ahmed, Kawsar; Azad, AKM; Bui, Francis M.; Chen, Li; Moni, Mohammad AliThe widespread impact of thyroid disease and its diagnosis is a challenging task for healthcare experts. The conventional technique for predicting such a vital disease is complex and time-consuming. A data-driven approach may offer predictive solutions, but it relies on all relevant attributes, which are computationally expensive. Hence, we propose a novel machine learning (ML) based disease prediction system that could potentially predict it by considering three crucial steps. First, to reduce the dimension of the dataset, three feature selection techniques were employed, including Feature Importance (FIS), Information Gain Selections (IGS), and Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LAS). Moreover, recommended medical references were considered while developing a feature set having the identical attributes as High-Risk Factors (HRF). Second, the models, including the Three Stage Hybrid Classifier (3SHC) and the Three Stage Hybrid Artificial Neural Network (3SHANN), are used as classifiers on the training data set. Third, a Local Interpretable Model-agnostic Explanations (LIME) to the 3SHC with the HRF samples was applied to individually explain the predictions. Then, the overall behaviors of both gender and age categories were explored with the help of a Partial Dependence Plot (PDP). Finally, the proposed system is validated with extensive experiments where the 3SHC achieves an accuracy (ACC) of 99.29%, which can play a crucial role in preventing thyroid disease and alleviating stress in the healthcare sector.Item Analyze the customer effectiveness of digital marketing(Daffodil International University, 2018-11-08) Moniruzzaman, Md.Digital marketing is the most popular marketing system in Bangladesh. The comparative study of MPSC. 2008 wilh some regional countries would answer some of the queslions recently. In Bangladesh, natural gas is the only significam source of commercial energy, and accounts for almost 75% of total commercial energy consumption. Current gas supply capacity is 1,950 mmcfd, whereas demand is about 2200 mmelu. There is large gap between demand and supply in Bangladesh and it is increasing everyday. Thc country has no alternative but to explore new gas fields to overcome the gas shortage that has already started. Bangladesh has explored some major gas fields in onshore but the offshore is unexplored yet. For unintenupted ga.>supply to Ihe existing enstomers and to meet the anticipated demand, the model PSC-200g has been formulated. To ensure the accountability, lransparency and public participation in decision making process, the Government of Bangladesh published the comract document through \\'ebsite at an early time. Th~re are some confusion regarding this comraCl for which a thorongh comparative study lS reqnired. In addition, an overall review was required to understand and evaluate the pros and COilS of th~ contract and to verify whether the people's interest is properly reserved or not. Based on different aspects the Contract has been compared and examined. To do this comparison some regional countries like India, MaiaYSla, Pakistan, Vietnam, Turkmeni<;lun and Trinidad & Tobago are chosen. All the countries except Trinidad & Tobago are regional countIies. The reason for selecting Trinidad & Tobago is that it is also a developing country like Bangladesh but it is near to USA and has a large pelroleum market. In conclusion, the overall contract was found to be balanced and very much comparable to the regional eOllnlries. So it can't do foreign. Except this branch perform all regular banking activities. As it is a computerized online banking service provider this branch can support other branches. For the sanction of loan and some other expenditure, authorization from the Head Office is required. A target of profit is given by the Head Office and the branch is trying it best to achieve it. During my internship program in this branch I have found some lacings. It is to be mentioned that this is from my point of view. This part is followed by the scope of the study and statement of the problem where I pointed the problem and mentioned why I think this as a problem. This part also includes the research question of the study. After that, I provided review on three literatures that I have studied for my internship report. In the next part, I mentioned the methodology of the data collection for this report. After that I mentioned the Customer satisfaction activities of Pine Solution limited on digital marketing. This was one of the major parts of this report. There are many Users always raised a complain regarding their mobile battery life that Users said that the devices do not last long and need to be charged many times a day which is a big suffer for them and also time killing. To solve this problem, in this paper shown that our mobile phone is charged automatically using a micro controller circuit. By this project we give a knowledge about how your mobile is charged without any damage in your mobile phones battery life and condition which increase efficiency. Here the primary coil is connected with a secondary coil in the transmitter, from AC to DC Bridge Circuit and a micro controller with the timer circuit is used to prevent the swelling of the battery which worked nicely for charging. Although with lots of advantage it has little bit of cons also which hopefully it will be solved in near future cause technology are developed day by day by solving rising problem.Item Design and simulation of photovoltaic, diesel hybrid AC mini-grid system for rural electrification(Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), BUET, 2019-02-09) Moniruzzaman, Md.; Khan, Dr. Md. Ziaur RahmanA hybrid photovoltaic-diesel-battery mini-grid model has been designed and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink for study and analysis purposes. Each component of the mini-grid model has been designed to simulate the model accurately. These include PV array, battery, diesel generator, inverter, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) based charge controller and loads. To make the model more realistic, a detailed load model has been presented where each type of load has been configured with its individual load profile. Some household appliances have been designed to investigate their different characteristics. An MPPT based on incremental conductance (INC) algorithm has been implemented for maximum power extraction from the PV array. A three-phase four-wire inverter with filter has been designed to generate a 400V 50Hz AC for distribution system. For AC distribution system, a 3-phase 4-wire network is designed using PI section block considering distribution line parameters to simulate voltage drop and line loss in the network. To control power flow from/to the battery, a bidirectional buck/boost converter with controller has been designed. Based on the daily energy consumption and load profile, appropriate size of PV array and energy storage system has been designed. A power management algorithm has also been developed and simulated to control power flow from PV array, diesel and battery. Grid voltage, current and frequency have been observed using the simulation results. Characteristics of balanced/unbalanced, fixed/variable loads have been studied here. The daily mini-grid load profile has also been simulated and studied. The placement of PV array and diesel generator has an impact on a mini-grid's efficiency, and also introduces the possibility of different technical issues. Hence, the PV array and diesel have been connected to different locations of the mini-grid to determine the optimal place with minimum voltage drop and line loss. On the other hand, fault analysis is an important consideration for design and operation of a mini-grid. Faults in different locations of mini-grid model have been simulated to investigate the characteristics and its effects on mini-grids. The designed model can be a useful tool for study and analysis of mini-grid system.Item Double elliptical resonator based quad-band incident angle and polarization angle insensitive metamaterial absorber for wireless applications(Scopus, 2024-04-24) Hasan, Md. Shakibul; Islam, Mohammad Tariqul; Samsuzzaman, Md.; Alamri, Saeed; Albadran, Saleh; Moniruzzaman, Md.; Soliman, Mohamed S.In this article, a double elliptical split ring resonator-based quad band metamaterial absorber (MMA) is demonstrated for applications in the microwave range. The resonator is made up of four squares outside split rings and two elliptical split rings positioned in the middle of the structure. The resonating patch is placed over an FR-4 dielectric layer with a thickness of 1.6 mm. The unit cell has an electrical size of 0.103λ0 × 0.103λ0, where λ0 is the wavelength determined at 2.576 GHz. The MMA shows maximum absorption of 99.83% at 2.576 GHz, 99.98% at 5.648 GHz, 99.56% at 8.32 GHz, and 99.15% at 13.456 GHz with TE mode. For TM mode, at 2.576 GHz, 5.632 GHz, 8.304 GHz, and 13.44 GHz, corresponding absorptions are 99.21%, 99.67%, 99.5%, and 99%, respectively. The MMA is polarisation and incidence angle (0° to 90°) insensitivity for both TM and TE modes. The unit cell provides single negative characteristics including an EMR (effective medium ratio) of 9.71 and a Q factor (quality factor) over 25. The proposed MMA provides high harvesting efficiencies of 92.87%, 76.9%, 94.12%, and 90.97% for frequencies of 2.57 GHz, 5.64 GHz, 8.32 GHz, and 13.45 GHz, correspondingly. The equivalent circuit is modeled to understand the resonance behavior of the MMA and the circuit parameters are determined and validated using Advanced Design Systems (ADS) software. The performance of the MMA is examined using the prototype of the array of the unit cells in an experimental setup. The experimental outcome provides a close similarity with simulation outcomes indicating the good performance of the MMA. The metamaterial absorber's high performance makes it suitable for many applications, such as RF energy harvesting applications, image technologies, stealth technologies, and radar systems as well as minimizing electromagnetic interference in satellites.Item Electronic information services in selected university and special libraries of Bangladesh a study(©University of Dhaka, 2023-05-21) Moniruzzaman, Md.Item Enhancement of Power System Oscillation Damping of Single Machine Infinite Bus System by Incorporating Optimally Tuned Interline Power Flow Controller (IPFC)(Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Islamic University of Technology,Board Bazar, Gazipur, Bangladesh, 2019-11-15) Moniruzzaman, Md.In power transmission system, low frequency oscillation (LFO) is created due to lack of balancing mechanical input to electrical output. For solving the LFO problem FACTs devices are being adopted. In this research work, as a FACTS device the Interline Power Flow Controller (IPFC) is employed. The IPFC based damping controller (Lead-Lag) has been used for mitigating LFO in single machine infinite bus (SMIB) system. An eigenvalue analysis is performed to select the electromechanical (EM) oscillation mode which is known as unstable mode. The controllability index is applied to select the most effective control signal of the controller. Since improper tuning of gain and time constants of controller called controller parameters may lead to sub-optimal result, particle swarm optimization (PSO) and differential evolution (DE) have been applied to tune the parameters. To investigate the effectiveness of the optimizers, the eigenvalue analysis and time-domain simulations are carried out. The quantitative analysis and nonparametric statistical tests have been performed to find out the most suitable optimizer for the controller. The results analysis reveals that the DE tuned Lead-Lag based damping controller for IPFC shows superior performance in damping LFOs for the study system.Item Estimation of Export Supply Model of Bangladesh: Cointegration and Vector Autoregressive Approaches(East West University, 1/1/2011) Moniruzzaman, Md.The broad objective of this study is to empirically estimate the export supply model of Bangladesh. The techniques of Cointegration, Engle-Granger causality, Vector Error Correction and Vector Auto-regression are applied to estimate the models of this study. Structural breakpoint or stability of the variables and impulse responses are also conducted in this study. The econometric analysis is done by using the time series data of the variable of interest which is collected from the secondary sources. The study has empirically tested the hypothesis and long run relationship and casualty between variables of the models. The study findings reveal that the trend growth rate of aggregate export is higher in post-liberalization period as compared to the pre-liberalization period. The Cointegration analysis shows that all the variables of the study are cointegrated at their first differences meaning that there exists long run relationship among the variables.Item Evaluation of ground water abstraction for water supply in Dhaka city(Department of Civil Engineering, 1998-11) Moniruzzaman, Md.; Dr. M. Feroze, AhmedOWASA is responsible for supplying potable water for the city dwellers. At present total water requirement in the Dhaka city is about 1620 MLD (million liter per day) but OWASA is only supplying 828.09 MLD, 94% of this water comes form underground source and the rest 6% from two small surface water treatment plants. Ground water which is the principal source of drinking water supply, has depleted considerably. The rate of lowering of piezometric water table was 0.5m per year in the eighties which increased to 0.75m in early nineties. In some locations such as Gopibag, Gulbag the present rate of water level lowering has been found to be more than 2 m per year. Comparing to the present situation, it is clear that Dhaka city ground water level has been depleting very rapidly. The situation should not go any long. Moreover the Government is actively considering the fourth interim project of OWASA and it will provide an additional 121 new and replacement deep tubewells to its system. Obviously then the situation would be further deteriorated. 'Dhaka Regional Ground water and subsidence study' conducted by OWASA in 1991 suggested a safe limit of maximum allowable depth of water level which was 20-25m for the central part of city. The study also predicted a maximum water level of 24 m below ground surface in Motijheel area in 2010. But some of the DTWs in DWASA indicate a static water level greater than 40m bellow ground level. As OWASA has no regular groundwater level monitoring system, the overall condition of the city groundwater level cannot be assessed exactly at this time. However BWDB.piezometers provide adequate data on piezometric levels in the upper aquifer, but additional piezometers are required in the main aquifer. No doubt the situation of groundwater abstraction is very much alarming for thc city of Dhaka. It may result in the failure of some of the existing pumping wells to collect water in near future and increase in the effective pressure on underlying soil layer by about 37.7%. The incremental weight may cause a settlement of 4.9cm. which would be uniform in nature because of the presence of a thick consolidated clay layer at the surface beneath Dhaka City. The high cohesion of this clay layer is likely to prevent any differential settlement which could be detrimental to the growth of the city. Vegetation is not likely to be affected by the lowering of water table as the water table in the upper aquifer is not very much affected by abstraction of water from the deep aquifer and the intermediate vadose zone contributes water to the root zone.Item Fabrication of bio-based activated carbon modified graphite electrode and its performance as supercapacitor(Department of Chemistry, BUET, 2022) Moniruzzaman, Md.; Chowdhury, Dr. Al-NakibElectrochemical energy storage systems have been a focus of research in order to solve the challenge of energy storage. Supercapacitors (SCs) are energy storage devices that have distinct advantages over batteries and conventional capacitors, making them promising candidates in energy storage technology. Over the past decade, several novel electrode materials and cell designs have been studied in attempt to boost the energy density of SCs. Having porous structure, high specific surface area, superior electrical conductivity, and good chemical and thermal stability, Carboneous materials activated carbon (AC) has attracted tremendous attention for its potential applications as an electrode material or an electrode modifier in supercapacitor technologies. In this study, the modification of highly porous activated carbon (AC) electrodes fabricated from banana leaves with a series of polymeric binders like polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), along with examining their suitability in AC-based supercapacitor applications. To fulfill this objective, first banana leaf activated carbon (AC) was synthesized using the activated agent K2CO3. Furthermore, different polymeric binders were employed to analyze the electrochemical behavior of the biomass-based activated carbon supercapacitor. These composites of different binders were evaluated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The composites were deposited on a graphite substrate using binder by solution casting method. The materials were electrochemically investigated in a 0.5 M Na2SO4 solution using cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge, and electrochemical impedance techniques to determine their capacitive behavior.The effects of binders, composite compositions, applied current density, potential scan rate, and stability were investigated in many different ways. During the study, a greater CV curve area was exhibited for the PVA binder than for PVDF and CMC. Moreover, all of the binders' GCD curves were found to be quasi-symmetrical. However, the PVA binder showed a relatively better triangular shape and longer discharge time compared to CMC and PVDF. The specific capacitance (Cs) values of AC-PVA are generally achived to be higher than that of AC-PVDF and AC-CMC. The high Cs, power density and longer life time demonstrate that PVA binder can be a better choice as a polymer binder in AC-based supercapacitors.Item Gap Coupled Symmetric Square Split Ring High EMR Resonator-Based Metamaterial for S-, C-, and X-Bands Wireless Applications: Simulation and Experiment(Elsevier, 2023-11-15) Hossen, Shawon; Alqahtani, Abdulrahman; Hossain, Ismail; Islam, Mohammad Tariqul; Moniruzzaman, Md.; Samsuzzaman, Md.This article describes a metamaterial (MTM) based on a symmetric square ring resonator (SSRR) that exhibits epsilon negative (ENG) and near-zero index (NZI) properties. A 0.035 mm thick copper resonator is used to construct the proposed asymmetric MTM structure, designed on a 1.5 mm thick FR-4 substrate for microwave applications. The MTM structure attained optimum resonance at frequencies corresponding to the microwave frequency range of the S, C, and X bands, 2.88 GHz, 4.78 GHz, and 10.9 GHz, respectively. The near-zero index characteristics are realized in the frequency ranges 2.22–3.17 GHz, 4.52–5.10 GHz, and 9.63–11.36 GHz, while the ENG characteristics are realized in the frequency ranges 2.1–3.2 GHz, 4.57–5 GHz, and 9.7–11.4 GHz. The electrical dimensions of the structure are 0.139λ × 0.139λ × 0.014λ, corresponding to an estimated wavelength of 2.88 GHz. The effective medium ratio (EMR), which for this construction is 7.194, indicates the compactness of the design structure. Using CST 2019 simulation software, the proposed structure is designed and developed before its construction and performance evaluation. The circuit was validated by comparing the S21 response using the Advanced Design System (ADS) software. The response of S21 from the proposed MTM structure was almost identical when it was tested through simulation (using CST and ADS software) or actual measurements. The compact size, substantial electromagnetic response (ER), negative permittivity, almost zero permeability, and refractive index of this MTM make it perfect for wireless applications in S-, C-, and X-bands.Item Ground Water Arsenic Contamination and Its Accumulation into Different Varieties of Rice(University of Rajshahi, 2016) Mondal, A.H.M. Firoz Kabir; Azad, Md. Abul Kalam; Hossain, Ismail; Moniruzzaman, Md.HYV rice BR-11 and BRRI dhan-50 were grown in an open-field Gangetic soil conditions with arsenic amended irrigation water and normal tap-water in experimental plot at Institute of Environmental Science of University of Rajshahi during August to December 2011 and February to June 2012, respectively. Whereas HYV rice BRRI dhan-36, local Boro variety Somsi and local Aman varieties (Mowka and Shorna) were also cultivated in an actual paddy field conditions with arsenic contaminated STW irrigation water in experimental plots at Mandal para village of Shahbajpur union under Shibganj upazila of Chapai Nawabganj district of Bangladesh during February to June 2012 and July to November 2012, respectively. The main objectives of this study were to observe the effect of arsenic (As) on rice (Oryza sativa L.) plants and the effect of arsenic contaminated pump distance and paddy field elevation on arsenic accumulation into HYV Boro and Aman rice. The tillers number, panicle length and grain yield of BR-11 rice were found to decrease significantly (p≤0.05) with increase of arsenic (As) concentration in irrigation water. Arsenic in irrigation water showed a strong positive correlations with arsenic accumulation into soil, straw and grain, and the trend of accumulation was found as water > soil > straw > grain. Chlorophyll contents of BRRI dhan-50 rice leaves were significantly decreased with increasing of soil residual arsenic. Grain and straw yield were not significantly affected by soil residual arsenic. A significant (p ≤ 0.01) increasing trend of arsenic accumulation into straw and grain was observed with increasing of soil residual arsenic. Arsenic accumulation in drainage sediments, paddy field soil, rice straw and grain were decreased significantly (p<0.01) with increasing of arsenic contaminated pump distance during dry season for Boro cultivation period. Arsenic accumulation in paddy soil, rice straw and grain had significant (p<0.01) negative correlation with paddy field elevation from mean sea level during Aman period (rainy season). Dry season hybrid rice varieties (BRRI dhan 50, BRRI dhan 36) accumulated more arsenic than rainy season local non-hybrid rice varieties. Highest arsenic accumulation in rice grain was 0.97±0.01 mg/kg, but not exceeded the WHO recommended permissible limit 1 mg/kg. Local non-hybrid rice varieties should be selected for arsenic contaminated area. Rice cultivation in upland and irrigation from distanced pump is suggested for less arsenic contamination.Item Impact and challenges for the procurement of new products for a sustainable pharmaceutical industry(BRAC University, 2023-05) Akter, Mofiza; Moniruzzaman, Md.The goal of the study was to determine the fundamental difficulties and important facets involved in the launch of new pharmaceutical goods, as well as the typical approach taken to deal with the difficulties that were identified. Finding out the importance of unique and creative ways in the promotion of new pharmaceutical products and the impact that this has on the market value of these products was the second most significant goal of this research. The methodology that I used conducted an analysis of the data using a statistical technique, and the findings were described in the appropriate context. Findings: In this age of innovation and creativity, "perfect product launch" and lifecycle management are now viewed in a different and expanded way, so the strategies would be accordingly. This is because companies now a days think about virtually every aspect of research, marketing, product development, suppliers, materials management, manufacturing, distribution, warranty and defect management, maintenance repair and overhaul, and product end of life and disposal. This requires the strategies to be adjusted accordingly. The obstacles that must be overcome in order to successfully introduce a new product to the market and keep it competitive there are growing in number. These obstacles are typically conquered by coming up with unique and creative solutions both during and after the introduction of a product. And as a result, its development is being supported by active investments, grants by developing economies. This qualitative study was conducted on the analysis of the secondary data available on the newspaper, articles and previous researches on this field. Three garment factories were chosen on the base of their reputation of maintaining sustainability in their supply chain to bring changes in environment, economy and socially. It was seen that these three factories incorporated sustainability in their supply chain basically focusing on attaining the environmental output. Furthermore, it will help to identify the potential impact of SCM and scope of value creation for Supply Chain Finance.Item Key factors affecting the intention of supply chain professionals to adopt sustainable procurement and supply chain practices in Bangladesh(BRAC University, 2024-12) Noor-E-Jannat; Moniruzzaman, Md.The importance of sustainable procurement and supply chain practice in addressing the problems of resource scarcity, climate change, and environmental degradation has gained more attention in recent years. This paper sought to understand the factors that influence the intention of professionals to adopt SP and SC practices in Bangladesh. Based on the scholars' studies and to further research the key factors influencing adopting sustainable procurement and supply chain practices, this paper proposes a conceptual model of sustainable supply chain management to examine the organizational, regulatory, economic, market, and knowledge factors. Survey data from 117 supply chain professionals was analyzed statistically, and six hypotheses were established to assess the adoption intention of supply chain professionals. The regression model indicates that economic and organizational factors are statistically significant. Cost reduction, tax exemption, financial incentives advantage, top management's commitment, pressure from investors, shareholders, upstream and downstream partners, and enhanced product or service quality are significantly responsible for influencing adoption intention and successful implementation of sustainable procurement and supply chain practices.
