    An Empirical Study on Employee Absenteeism and Turn over of Union Sportswear Ltd.

    This empirical study investigates the causes and patterns of employee absenteeism and turnover at Union Sportswear Ltd., a prominent player in Bangladesh's garment sector. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, the research identifies key factors contributing to absenteeism and high turnover rates, including poor working conditions, lack of motivation, insufficient incentives, and limited career development opportunities. The findings suggest that strategic human resource practices, employee welfare initiatives, and effective communication can significantly reduce absenteeism and enhance employee retention. The study provides actionable insights for HR professionals and organizational leaders aiming to improve employee stability and productivity in labor-intensive industries.

    Investment operation of First Security Islami Bank Limited

    The main objectives of the study were to understand the structure and functions of the Accounts and Finance Department of First Security Islami Bank Ltd. (FSIBL), to explore the bank’s accounting activities, to examine its investment policies, and to analyze its overall financial operations. To achieve these objectives, both primary and secondary data were collected. Primary data were gathered through direct interviews and face-to-face conversations with employees of the bank, while secondary data were sourced from FSIBL’s official website, the FSIBL Bluebook, its prospectus, and related research papers and books. The collected data were then organized and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Through the analysis, several issues were identified, including lengthy investment procedures, weak investment schemes, underperformance in the accounting department, and a shortage of employees. Based on these findings, the report provides a set of recommendations aimed at improving the bank’s investment processes, enhancing departmental performance, and addressing staffing challenges.

    Recruitment and Selection process of Uttara Info Tech: A study on jobdorkar.com

    This study explores the recruitment and selection process at Uttara Info Tech, with a particular focus on the role of the online job portal jobdorkar.com. The research examines the strategies used to attract, screen, and hire candidates, and evaluates the effectiveness of these methods in meeting the organization’s staffing needs. Using interviews with HR personnel and data analysis from recruitment records, the study finds that online platforms like jobdorkar.com streamline the hiring process, widen the applicant pool, and improve efficiency. However, challenges such as filtering qualified candidates and ensuring cultural fit remain. The paper offers insights and recommendations for optimizing digital recruitment practices in the tech industry.

    Recruitment process of Standard Group

    This report details the recruitment process files , standard group is one of the longest running garment manufacturing companies in Bangladesh . Having established in 1984, it has one of the largest woven garment manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh including sweater production facility. During this eight-week internship program, i worked in the recruitment process of hr department, where my main responsibility was to recruitment process files . I have analyzed the recruitment process of standard group from the view of theoretical definition, practical application, basic principles followed and technology used in the whole process. Therefore, the main focus of this study relates to the knowledge i have gained in training and personal experience working in this section. In this report, the primary part is composed of an introduction, purpose, objectives, limitations of the study. The second part of this report discusses standard group company profile. In the third part, i discussed data collection & processing methods. In the fourth part i discussed details the hr method of standard group. In the following section, after these processes they also check that if the employee worked their company before or not by BMS system.
