AN ANALYSIS OF THE EXISTING TECHNOLOGY AND COMPARE WITH CELLULAR NETWORKS: WIMAX
    (Daffodil International University, 2012-07) zaman, M. S; Uddin, M. S.; Masud, M.A.
Broadband access technology has significant influences in the telecommunication industry. Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) is a broadband wireless technology which brings broadband experience to a wireless context. There are two different types of broadband wireless services. One is fixed wireless broadband which is similar to the traditional fixed line broadband access technology like DSL or cable modem but using wireless as a medium of transmission. Another type is broadband wireless known as mobile broadband which has additional functionality of portability, mobility and nomad city. The IEEE 802.16 family WiMAX is designed to accommodate both fixed and mobile broadband application. WiMAX promises "to solve the last mile problem which refers to the expense and time needed to connect individual homes and oflices to trunk route for communications. WiMAX also offer higher peak data rates and greater flexibility than 3G networks and Wi-Fi. This thesis is provides the analysis of the broadband wireless access (BWA) technology with a focus on WiMAX and compare it with the other wireless technology like Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) and third-generation (3G).

Impact of higher order adaptive filtering for stereo system audio signal
(Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science, 2017) Amin, A.A.,; Islam, M.S.,; Masud, M.A.; Khan, M.N.H.
In present stereo audio system is a most popular audio system for different purposes. Now a day’s stereo system is commonly used in communication and other purposes. Moreover Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS) based adaptive filtering is an effective filtering process in case of communication and other applications. However adaptive filtering is an adaptive filter process to cancel out the noise from audio signal successfully. Hence the main objective of this paper is to design a NLMS adaptive filter which cancels out the noise from a noisy wave format stereo audio file. Moreover by varying the order of the adaptive filter (such as 8th, 16th, 32th and 64th), the performance of the NMLS adaptive filtered signal with respect to reference and noisy stereo audio signal are analyzed as well. © 2017 Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science. Optimizing channel capacity for B5G with deep learning approaches in MISO-NOMA-HBF and BFNN 1 of 1
(Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science, 2024-06-25) Masud, M.A.; Al Amin, A.,; Islam, Md.S.,; Mostafa, V.; Wahiduzzaman, Md.
This study proposes the integration of a beamforming neural network (BFNN) and multiple-input single-output based non-orthogonal multiple access (MISO-NOMA) with hybrid beamforming (HBF) for cell edge users (CEU) in a millimeter wave (mmWave)-based beyond 5G cellular communication system. This system is referred to as MISO-NOMA-HBFBFNN. The proposed scheme has been implemented to support multiple users simultaneously and also to considerably enhance and significantly improve the overall the sum channel capacity (SC) and user channel capacities. Additionally, the simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed MISO-NOMA-HBF-BFNN scheme over the existing MISO-NOMA with HBF and MISO-OMA with HBFBFNN based schemes in terms of user capacities and SC

Productivity Measurement of a Private Commercial Bank in Bangladesh: A Study on Bank Asia Ltd.
(School of Business, Uttara Uniersity, Dhaka-1230, Bangladesh., 2013-05-21) Masud, M.A.; Hossain,Sharif.
The commercial banking system in Bangladesh is service oriental and labor-intensive. Employee is the main input and therefore employee's productivity is the main measure of banking productivity. This study is conducted to evaluate the productivity of Bank Asia Ltd. Although, there is no single well accepted theoretical approach to measure productivity of a service industry, an attempt has been made here to measure productivity through partial approach and total approach on the basis of some indicators. The study reveals that the productivity performance of Bank Asia Ltd showed upward trends during 2001 to 2009.
