Item Fastness Properties Analysis Between Levafix Blue CA and Levafix Fast Red CA During Jute-Cotton Union Fabric Dyeing(©Daffodil International University, 2022-07-17) Iqbal, Md. Asib; Maniruzzaman, Mohammad; Ali, Engr. Taher; Monira, Shirajum; Akter, SoniaReactive dyes are extensibly used for dyeing and printing cellulosic fibre containing cellulosic portion. Levafix Blue CA & Levafix Fast Red CA both is Reactive dyes widely used in Jute and jute-cotton union fabric dyeing. From the experimental result, it has observed that the result of strength & fastness properties is different from Levafix Blue CA and Levafix Fast Red CA. Here we showed that Levafix Blue CA is better than Levafix Fast Red CA.Item Feasibility of Dyeing Jute and Jute-cotton Union Fabric Using Novacron Dyes(©Daffodil International University, 2022-01-08) Iqbal, Md. Asib; Chowdhury, Nazmina; Maniruzzaman, Mohammad; khatun, Mahmuda; Molla, Jannatul BakeReactive dye is widely used in textile field. Novacron dyes is one of them. Dyeing method has the advantage of running continuous production. With small amount of dye consumption with simple application technique and less waste water contamination, we can save energy, time, water and labour employment and ultimately increase the production rate. The affinity of dyes of small molecular weight is low and diffusion rate inside cellulosic fibres is high. Novacron dyes have higher molecular size, so in dyeing it becomes effective in jute and jute-cotton union fabric. All cellulosic fibres like jute and jute-cotton union can be dyed by continuous method with very good fastness properties.Item INTRODUCTION OF INTERSECTING GILLING MACHINE IN JUTE PROCESSING FOR MAKING JUTE AND BLENDED YARN(Daffodil International University, 2011-07-01) Miazi, Md. Osman Ghani; Mahabubuzzaman, A.K.M.; Maniruzzaman, Mohammad; Anwer, Md. MasroorThe study was aim to determine the suitability of intersecting gilling machine in jute processing system. In this regard the machine was used for processing of jute fibre to yarn [1]. The third drawing sliver passed through the intersecting gilling of GN5 type into 4:1 input –output ratio of slivers. Yarns spun by this slivers through different types of spinning frame. Quality ratio of jute yarns produced from different spinning machines were measured. These were for Hessian Spinning machine is 84.17%, Apron draft spinning frame is 88.59% and Spingard spinning frame 96.34%. However for medium count jute-polypropylene blended yarn, the quality ratios are between 102- 112 and yarns were spun by hessian spinning frame. These results compared with the yarn produced through conventional jute spinning system (except intersecting Gilling machine, table 2). Findings of the study indicate a new era for the jute processing by using intersecting Gilling machine. It is observed that the introduction of Intersecting Gilling machine has a potential prospect in jute processing for making fine jute yarn.
