A comprehensive smart IoT tracker for the children, elder, and luggage with the assistance of mobile app
(IEEE, 2021-01-04) Kabir, AZM Tahmidul; Mizan, Al Mamun; Saha, Plabon Kumar; Kibria, Golam; Ta-sin, Akib Jawad; Zishan, Md. Saniat Rahman
This paper represents an IoT based tracking system, through which it is very easy to track the child, elder, or any type of luggage. This system has separate features for tracking each of these things, which have been completed by the IoT device and the Android app. It is possible to track anything manually or automatically with this device. NodeMCU, GPS, and GSM have been used as hardware to build the system, and Firebase Server and Google API services have been used for the Android app. Parcel exchange has become very common nowadays. With this system, in addition, the location of the parcel can be easily tracked, and administrative help can be taken for any unforeseen situation.

Exploring the Nexus Between Drug Addiction and Suicidal Tendencies in Bangladesh
(Daffodil International University, 2024-07-24) Kibria, Golam; Tisha, Tasnim Umaer
Bangladesh, a country experiencing fast socioeconomic transformation, is dealing with a new concern, the intertwined shadows of drug addiction and suicidal tendencies. This study dives into this complicated intersection, attempting to understand the variables that link them and the disastrous consequences they cause. The purpose of this study is to look into the risk variables connected with suicide among those who are struggling with drug addiction and to develop effective prevention techniques. The study is motivated by the pressing need to understand the complex interplay of factors influencing the elevated suicide risk within this vulnerable population. The study uses a comprehensive literature analysis to systematically synthesize information on suicide risk factors, emphasizing the relevance of the problem and the severity of its impact. The literature evaluation reveals noteworthy conclusions, including the fact that people with drug addiction are significantly more likely to commit suicide. Mental health treatment during childhood, the loss of key persons at a young age, and severe psychological disorders all appear to play a role in this increased risk. The alarming rise in suicide rates among drug addicts needs a thorough study of the underlying risk factors and the development of effective preventative techniques. With over 700,000 people globally committing suicide each year and suicide being designated as the fourth highest cause of death among persons aged 15 to 29, immediate action is required. In addition, the correlation between drug addiction and suicide attempts underscores the critical need for evidence-based interventions to mitigate this pressing public health concern. The anticipated outcome of this research is to not only provide evidence-based knowledge but also serve as a foundation for policymakers, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders to develop targeted initiatives aimed at addressing the nexus between drug addiction and suicidal tendencies in the context of Bangladesh.

Measurement of Heart Rate in Intense Motion Using Photoplethysmographic Signals
(East West University, 4/4/2018) Alam, S.M. Samiul; Kibria, Golam
Photoplethysmographic signal is one of the most convenient approaches to measure heart rate (HR) when subject is not in motion. But in intense motion, HR estimation becomes difficult as the peaks of motion artifacts are mingled with the peaks of heart rate in photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal. In this work, a data independent algorithm is proposed to measure heart rate from the contaminated PPG signal. The method is verified using the 12 data sets provided by IEEE signal processing cup 2015 [13]. Using this method, an average absolute error of 10.60 beat per minute (BPM) and standard deviation of 8.42 BPM are obtained while subjects are running at an average velocity of 15 km/h. Though the results are not highly satisfactory yet, the algorithm may be considered as a potential candidate for data independent PPG-based HR estimation approach.

We have done internship program in Maniknagar substation under power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) . It was 15 days training program. PGCB was incorporated in November 1996 with an authorized capital of Tk. l 0 billion. Government decision to transfer of transmission assets to PGCB from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Dhaka Power distribution Company (DPDC) , former DESA, PGCB has completed taking over of all the transmission assets on 30.12.2002 and operating them. 76.25% ownership with BPDB & 23.75% with general public. Its Head Office is at Institution of Engineers of Bangladesh Bhaban (New), the 3rd and 4th floor, 8/A Ramna, Dhaka- l OOO, Bangladesh. Activities of PGCB include. operation & maintenance of grid sub-station and transmission line, Load dispatching, Operation & maintenance of communication system, Protection, and relay co-ordination, Design & evaluation, Transmission network planning.PGCB also contributes in communication system. O & M of power line carrier communication system of PGCB and OPGW communication in future
