    Assessing subsidiaries of financial institutions in Bangladesh: an overview and evaluation of IPDC Finance PLC

    This report details the author’s 3-month academic internship from September – December 2025, an overview of the Financial Industry of Bangladesh, and of the first Non-Banking Financial Institution of the country, IPDC FINANCE PLC. Additionally, this report’s project section aims to provide an assessment of IPDC FINANCE PLC’s operations compared to those of its top-performing competitors and their respective subsidiaries. These analyses aim to provide a unique perspective on the consolidation strategy employed by Financial Institutions in Bangladesh by using IPDC FINANCE PLC as the lens through which the efficacy of this business model may be reviewed and understood, whether a Financial Institution must always resort to consolidation to ensure continued growth.
