    A Comprehensive Survey on Affinity Analysis, Bibliomining, and Technology Mining

    Recent advancements in high-speed communications and high-capacity computing systems have contributed to major growth in the data volume of databases. Data mining is a crucial part of information retrieval; it is often termed as database knowledge discovery. It consists of techniques for examining massive data sets, to find hidden (but possibly important) information. Three interesting fields in data mining are affinity analysis, bibliomining, and technology mining. Affinity analysis provides data mining techniques to determine the similarity among objects; bibliomining is a combination of data mining, bibliometrics, and data warehousing; technology mining is a research topic that is an obstacle to many scientists in the fields of time association, enterprise association, and computer programming. We present a systematic review of the notable research articles in the fields of affinity analysis, bibliomining, and technology mining published between 2000 and December 2021. We provide a systematic analysis of the selected literature by specifying the major contributions, used data sets, performance evaluations, and limitations. Our findings demonstrate that affinity analysis interoperability extends well beyond market basket analysis. We also demonstrate that, in the age of big data, the personalized needs of users are the driving forces behind the evolution of the digital library from a resource-sharing service to a user-centered service. Finally, this article provides insight into major advances and outstanding challenges in the fields of affinity analysis, bibliomining, and technology mining.

    An exploratory study of imperialism and English language in Bangladesh

    This research explored the existence of linguistic imperialism, intentionally or unintentionally, in different sectors of Bangladesh. This study discussed how majority of the sectors of our country are invaded linguistically by English, and it is ultimately encouraging intrusion of foreign or western culture in our culture. Therefore, by mingling to our culture it is deteriorating our cultural traditions and values. The study also explored the reasons that are triggering this linguistic imperialism by showing different aspects of the education system of English Medium Schools and how it is affecting the Bengali Medium Schools’ students as well. Moreover, it also explored various experiences of the professional people who stated that this invasion of English creates difficulty for a huge number of people. Qualitative research design was chosen for this research as it allowed me to investigate the phenomena in detail. Data for this research came from various sources and collected through interviews, observations and documents analysis and some of them are reported in storied form. This study is significant as it portrayed a rich picture of the nature of linguistic imperialism in Bangladesh but the phenomena is hardly noticed.

    Multi-protein HIV-1 vaccine design: in silico prediction, structural assessment, and immunoinformatic validation

    HIV-1 remains a global health concern since there is no effective vaccine to date. In silico multi-protein vaccine design offers a promising strategy to induce widespread and durable immunity. Using linker and adjuvant sequences, including the PADRE universal helper T-cell epitope, conserved epitopes from several HIV-1 proteins were combined into a single construct. The design incorporated HTL (CD4⁺ helper T lymphocyte) epitopes to enhance cytokine secretion and B-cell help, CTL (CD8⁺ cytotoxic T lymphocyte) epitopes to promote targeted killing of infected cells, and B-cell epitopes to induce neutralizing antibody responses. Physicochemical properties, antigenicity, toxicity, and allergenicity were evaluated through immunoinformatics pipelines. The coverage was analysed using IEDB Population Coverage Calculation. The 3D structure was modeled and validated using MolProbity, Ramachandran analysis. Molecular docking with TLR-3 was performed to assess receptor interaction, and immune simulations were conducted to predict immune responses. The construct showed stability, antigenicity, and non-allergenicity, with >90% residues in favored Ramachandran regions. Docking confirmed stability of TLR-3 binding, while immune simulation predicted strong IgM and IgG responses and robust T-cell activation.
