Item A Study on Light Traps for Attracting and Killing the Insects Using PKL Electricity(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2021) Khan, K.A.,; Sultana, R.,; Islam, S.,; Zian Reza, S.M.Insects can see the radiation of Ultra Violet (UV) light. Nocturnal insects emit Ultra Violet light and the light source can attract them. To keep it in mind a PKL light source has been designed and developed to kill the insects in the paddy, vegetables, flowers, and fruits field. PKL light traps have been used to reduce the damage of the paddy, flowers, vegetables, and fruits from the nocturnal moths. Some lamps are used to control the type of pests those species are attracted to yellow color. To control the flying insects in the cultivated land a new and innovative PKL electric lighting system based on LED have been designed and developed.Item Extract of Green Chili—A New Source of Electricity(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2021) Ohiduzzaman, M.,; Khan, K.A.,; Islam, S.,; Hossain, M.S.,; Rasel, S.R.Green chili is abundantly available for everywhere in the world. It is cultivating for cooking in curry. It can be used a green source of energy. Previously, it has been generated electricity from different vegetative and fruits. Electrochemistry is the responsible of mechanism for electricity generation from vegetative and fruits. In this paper, it has been used as a source of electricity using electrochemical cell. The Zn/Cu-based electrodes were used, and the extract of the green chili was used as an electrolyte. The green-electrochemical systems achieve the reduction reaction with a certain voltage for which electrons transfer between the cathode and anode. Here, cathode means gain of electron, and anode means loss of electrons. In this research paper, zinc is used as an anode, and copper is used as a cathode. The electrons react with Cu2+ and H+. The Cu2+ and H+ eventually convert into Cu and H2 atoms. Finally, it is shown that Cu atoms were deposited onto the copper plate, and H2 releases from the green chili electrochemical cell. The experimental results were observed with and without adding copper sulfate solution $${\text{CuSO}}:{4} \cdot 5{\text{H}}_{2} {\text{O}} $$ as a secondary salt. The outcome of the research work improvises a better understanding on the electricity generation technology of the system.Item PKL Backup LED Bulb—An Alternative Source of Electricity During Load Shading(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2021-12-30) Khan, K.A.; Islam, S.,; Rasel, S.R.,; Saime, M.A.,; Islam, S.,; Ali, M.H.Load shading is a great crisis of Third World countries. It is happening in the Third World countries frequently. To overcome this situation, instant and sudden electricity with PKL backup LED bulb has been studied. In this research paper, PKL has been divided into 3 categories: fresh PKL, living PKL and the effect of Ag NPs for living PKL tree. A beautiful and innovative idea has been designed and developed to extract power from the living PKL tree, fresh leaves and the use of Ag NPs for living PKL backup LED bulb, which may be an eternal source of electricity during load shading. In this research work, an LED bulb has been considered as a load. An internal circuit is considered inside the LED bulb. The LED bulb acts as a load and storage system simultaneously. A small storage battery has been used inside a PKL backup LED bulb. A charge controller is also used with the storage battery to save the storage battery. Charge Controller saves the storage battery from overcharging and undercharging. It is shown that the longevity of the PKL backup LED bulb for a single fresh leaf is 20 h, for a living leaf it is above 20 h, and it is also found that the voltage was constant for using Ag NPs. The intensity variation with time duration for the above-mentioned 3 cases has also been studied. The LED bulb has been functioning by using electricity that has been extracted from the living and fresh Pathor Kuchi (Bryophillum pinnatum) leaves directly, and that is the novelty of this research work. This work is very innovative, a new and unique research work all over the world. It may be the guideline for future work.
